Blue sky thinking

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Confused the fck out of a marketing 2watt once at a seminar when I reminded him that if all your ever have are blue skies you inevitably end up with a desert.

Change is inevitable/constant. That's another one.

No it's not. Challenge should be, and change may happen as result but change should never be inevitable.

My wife and I did our own podcast for a few months. It's still there. It's had over 2k downloads

We'd love to do more but things have moved on. We'll probably revisit it at some point.

I see a lot of word play in emails. It doesn't bother me, I likely have a style that's obvious and different to others.

So be it, I tend to ignore the buzzword bingo and see if the person knows their stuff, if so then all good

I don't care what anyone says..that's getting used.

Although it says something about this site that you felt the need to explain it

I run a course on leadership and management and the course contains a video that I absolutely deplore. An American guy called Tom Peters talking about "the four most important words in any organisation - 'what do you think?'". Makes me cringe every time we play it and I always apologise for it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well shouldn't you use some of your leadership and management skills that you have and not play that video?

I suggest that's the route you take going forward...

I used to have a Sales Director who practically spoke in 'Jargonspeak'.

His favourite was 'touch base'

Also;

'six and two threes'

'lets just take a flyer at it'

'singing from the same page'

'I don't think that's necessarily true'

'teh' and 'eth' were his favourite ways of spelling 'the'.

The guy was an absolute birdbrain.

Already used about 20 minutes ago in a very dry and boring board meeting.
