I dont get how me challenging the myths about the club structure upsets so many to the point they want people banned.

Very childish.

So pleased Woodward has come out and put an end to the nonsense spouted on here by so many.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking forward to how the Ed haters try and spin this.

Ed's basically saying "its not my fault"

I got RDD banned last time with a simple request to admin. I wonder if it'll be that easy again. He's ruining the site.

not insulting at all, if anything it says how awful theyve been doing their job that everyone thinks that theres no footballing people making decisions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's more the case that people have run out of bad guys to blame so have targeted the club structure.

Now that myth has been proven incorrect itl.be someone else.in the crosshairs soon enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How has it been disproven? I think that the managers have been backed in terms of money. However, if Jose is telling the truth that Fred wasn't his signing, there are certainly issues with the club's structure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, we have Ed and Ole telling us the club is run this way, and then you have a disgruntled ego maniac ex manager. I know who I believe.

Support the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ole is telling us how the club has been run since he joined. I think we could all tell from this summer's window that it was Ole making the final call on transfer targets. I don't think that was always the case before this summer though.

Given his choice of language it doesnt strike me that he is taking about just this season.

Any thoughts on Eds comments Shugs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty much goes against what he said to shareholders RDD... Back then success on the pitch wasn't necessary for success off it... And that's all the Glazers care about

His comments you are creaming over are nothing more than soundbites for spackers like you

Or the haters have simply got it wrong in how they thought / think the football decisions are made at the club.

If he thinks that the club is doing a 'brilliant job' then Ed is more deluded than I thought.

He'd get much more sympathy from me if he said something like "Replacing Sir Alex's influence has been a far greater challenge than we ever imagined. We recognise things haven't gone as well on the pitch as we'd like but rest assured we'll do everything in our power to get the structure right to give our manager the platform to deliver success".

It's so frustrating. I'd respect him a bit more if he were saying it's a difficult job following SAFs departure. Bottom line is though that under his watch we've been nowhere near good enough.

Looks like the snitching has caught on with Liverpool supporters....

posted on 18/10/19

Ole can only talk about how it was under him. Both LVG and Jose said it was different for them. Ed has changed his tune. RDD is willing to take the word of Ed over both Jose and LVG, the former of the two was complaining about the lack of control over signings before he was fired.

So who are we to believe? A man before this season didn't think success on the pitch has anything to do with what he does off it, or two world famous coaches who have said they worked with two hands tied behind their back (not literally, of course).

Ok. But why does he need to say it before you are prepared to accept that is the case and cut him some slack?

Losing saf was never an excuse for Woodward's incompetence never mind 6 years later

Because if he doesn't believe that they haven't done the best of jobs then he won't believe that he has to change. It isn't difficult to understand that. The first part of solving a problem is admitting you have one.

I make no apologies for going back to this fact but since he's been the man in charge we've finished 7th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2nd and 6th. I didn't expect title after title after SAF but to oversee a period where we've not even challenged, with all the resources we have, is embarrassing IMO.

Nothing Ed has said is anything we didn't already know. I have not thought for a minute that he is picking the players for the manager.

But someone under his employment has and that is down to him and he should have fixed this by now.

And, this didn't absolve him for the shambles of contract negotiations, idiotic wages and transfer fees and his inability to get simple transfers like Maguire and AWB over the line in good time.

posted on 18/10/19

Surely buck stops with Ed.

He may not be scotuing the players but he's put the scouts in place, he may not be coaching the platyers but he has selected the coaching staff.

He and other might point to individuals within this set up failing to do their jobs well enough, but ultimately if they are sacked would you trust Ed to replace them with the right people. There seems to be a catalogue of errors since SAF left and the consistent in all this is Ed
