One match ban enabled

Wigan have a good home record. Three wins from five and taking seven points from the last three games. Plus, they beat Bristol City and Charlton in the last two.

Thanks to the BBC I’ve also learnt that they have only lost one home game in fifteen! That was against Leeds back in mid-August.

Forest are unbeaten in six (Championship) away games this season. Three wins and three draws so far, two of those wins coming in the last three.

The major injury doubt is of course Sow. Semedo the most logical and strongest replacement but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be fit. Yates unlikely to be match fit also, so likely Bostock, who has rarely featured.

Wigan miss their captain for a one match ban.

The team v Wigan will likely be:

Samba
Cash Worrall Chema Ribeiro
Watson
Lolley Silva Bostock Adamoah
Grabban

Muric Figueiredo Robinson Yates Ameobi Carvalho
Mir

I can’t see us losing and think we’re good for at least a draw. With Sow and their captain out, it will be down to who copes best. Both have been key to their teams success. Sow featuring in every game since the loss to WBA. Morsy starting the last nine for them.

My prediction is a narrow 2-1 win to Forest,

REV and Morninchile, you've said it all; I've nothing to add.

Forest have never won at Wigan. Couple of score draws about the best they’ve managed. About time they put that stat right.

Never seem to be a lot of goals in this fixture so I will predict a tight 0-1 to the Nottingham. Grabban to net the goal.

It’s gonna be a weekend of dropping points.
All team 6 teams this week are expected to win again bottom half teams and the key this weekend will be consistency. Hopefully we see a fair number drop points, like Shef Wed vs Cardiff last night. Historically international break knocks everything out of routine for teams either end of the table but only those playing way above or way below expectations.

Wigan will be hard to beat and as a minimum we should try and take a point away. Anything more would be fantastic though. This isn’t a season to be afraid of stats and superstition, manager of the month curses, and International break hiccups, and Winless grounds will mean nothing if sabri keeps the team focused

I am pretty sure their only defeat, against Leeds was when they were down to 10 men, which just shows how difficult this could be. However, these are the sort of games where we are capable of grinding out 1-0 wins, not something I would have said for quite a few seasons. I’d like to see Dawson back alongside Worrall, mainly for his organisational contribution, that apart I don’t have worries about other positions. At worst a draw, but hopefully a win to continue the excellent record of late. One other thing to remember the dreaded MOM for SL, let’s hope the curse doesn’t strike again.

Of the teams staring in the top 6, West Brom and Leeds are the only teams to win.

Preston lose to a 98th minute winner.
Swansea draw
Bristol lose

A mixed bag of wins, draws, and losses round the edge of the top 6.

Draw and we’re joint 2nd
Win and we’re joint 1st and a small gap starts to appear in a very packed group

0:3 is my prediction

Top of the League beckons

Wigan will be looking for any sense of Forest taking them for granted. Don’t give them anything to hang on to. Looking for a very professional away performance from the Reds, please.

Dawson, Semedo and Sow have been ruled out of this one. Sensible with Hull coming up on Wednesday, I suppose.

Chema or Figuiredo got the foot alongside Worrall.
Bostock, Yates or Yacob in midfield are the boot ions there.

I’d go Chema and Bostock.

Got the foot? They might need heads, shoulders, knees and toes too if Wigan get up and at the Reds! 😆

Boot ions, or midfield options as they’re more commonly known.

Think it might be time for a lie down...😬

Difficult game to call this. Any result is possible really. They are very strong at home. I personally would take a point, even though we are in great form. As usual the first goal will be important.

Would be a very big statement if we go there and win I think.

We are getting stronger, but 0-3 would be too much to hope for I think. I'll be happy with a clean sheet and no more injuries.

Fig in for Dawson
Bostock in for Sow
Mir in for Grabban

If there was ever a test in depth of the team as a whole, we’re seeing. In sabri we trust

Mir gets his chance then...

Wow!

I'd fancy th bench to beat the starters in a seven-a-side game today.

I'm sure Sabri knows what he is doing though. Grabban must have a niggle and we need him 100% on Wednesday.

Hope Bostock and Mir can make the most of the opportunity they have today.

I think he likes to show to the players that he is confident in them all to do what is required for the team.

Hope the pitch up there hasn’t had the rugby league lot on recently churning it up.

posted on 20/10/19

Me too Will. Hate to see pitches with Rugby markings on them. I'm sure it must affect the players

posted on 20/10/19

Just seen a picture of the pitch as Forest wam up. No rugby markings; looks in good condition.

Hopefully he isn’t just painted on and doesn’t cut up after twenty minutes.
