Sabri should have learned a lot from the first hour today

Terrible. Like they've forgotten each other...

We've had some poor striker in the las few years.

Rafa Mir? Better than Bendtner worse than Bonatini. But he is the only option I think.

Poor commentary on sky. Thought the game was much more even than they made out. Wigan played well but forest the better team in the second half!

Probably should have had a penalty first half too. Didn’t deserve to win it though and was always gonna be a hard game. Only conceded one and looked dangerous, so plenty of positives.

caniggia - you’re optimism is

But there’s no getting away from it - this is not too 2 material stuff

Inept, slow, inconsistent and very poor today

This was the kinda game that we really should have got by the scruff of the neck and made a solid statement of intent

But instead, we’ve folded and are not different from any other team in the top 10 at present

It is a complete lottery this year as to who will go up automatically

Not forgotten each other but five changes is too many.

We have two ‘winnable’,home games coming up, after that shocking ‘performance’ we will struggle to regain the momentum we had built up, unfortunately you can only blame Lamouchi for that debacle, why make FIVE changes to a winning formula, reckless.

Mir needs confidence. Too early to say he is not good enough. Made some good runs today and was always in the right place. If he can get a goal or two it will help then we might see an improved player.

Could also turn out to be useless though and we don’t really have time to build people up.

Bostock is just not good enough. Not surprising when you look at his history, he had rarely been good enough anywhere. Can’t fault his effort and don t wanna slag him off, but let’s hope we don’t need to play him often.

Always going to be difficult without Daws, Sow, Carvalho and Grabban. Some of the back up players just aren’t quite up to it. I was worried when Dawson got injured because that derailed us last season.

Anyway, we just need to win our two home games and we’ll be alright.

We are not good enough, we are having a great season and we look much improved, but don’t get carried away and think we are one of the stand out teams. We are not. We will get better and can still get top 2. But no disgrace in losing this game. I am not sure you can go to Wigan and field a slightly weakened team and expect anything else. You need to be at full strength to win at Wigan and you can’t give a goal away either.

If we win the next game it’s all forgotten. If we lose again it starts to hit confidence I think.

That first 60-65minutes was abhorrent, atleast sabri made exactly the right subs.

If their 65 minutes today was a fair reflection of how good they are, Mir is a donkey and bostock is league one quality at best. Silva did a better defensive job, even as the ‘attacking option’.

For one reason or another we essentially rested the spine of the team and the replacements just didn’t cut it.

Surely Yacob (remember him) offers at least as much as Bostock who I don’t even think we needed to sign. There was some extremely poor refereeing today, but overall we were appalling, can’t remember Marshall making a save. As I said earlier our away form isn’t half as good the record states, particulate at the so called ‘lesser’ teams, Charlton, Blackburn and now Wigan were all very poor performances. Having said that we are in a decent position but need some consistency, to make the next step, and be around the play off area, we are currently nowhere near top 2. I am hoping Lamouchi learnt some lessons today about the Championship, in that you can’t take liberties. A convincing win against Hull in midweek, and we are back on track, anything less and confidence may suffer.

No Samba Sow, no midfield know how?

Didn’t see the game. I can understand the frustrations. It was built up all week to be a disappointment with the talk of the 3,500 travelling army, etc, if we’re honest. I think Lamouchi more or less admitted post match that he perhaps tinkered too much?

posted on 20/10/19

A chance on Wednesday to put the result behind them straight away by giving a poor Hull team a good seeing to at the CG. Lamouchi needs to refocus minds for that one quick smart.

I agree that Forest have probably over achieved so far. Realistically, the Reds are fighting for 5th/6th place rather than 2nd/3rd. That could change if the club invest in Jan but it is notoriously difficult to get value in that window.

Playing Mir might have been a hint to the owners on the striker front. I suspect Mir was forced on Forest by Mendes and wasn’t Lamouchi’s pick.

The problem with not finishing in the top 2 and ending up in the playoffs is just too much of a lottery for my liking

Although that would be seen as progress, I fear if we end up in the playoffs, we’ll lose - let’s be honest, our history there isn’t great - and it’s all a total lottery in the end

If that’s the case and we miss out on promotion by failing in the playoffs, I fear we’ll be back to square one next season, we probably a new manager

If the redevelopment is to go ahead, how do you think our owner will cope with a team still playing the likes of Wigan, Reading and Barnsley, rather than Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd

I’m not sure how it’ll all pan out

Agree that the side was too weak to get much out of the game. I think it showed what we all know. Bostock, Mir and Robinson aren't good enough. We looked immediately impoved as soon as the subs came on.

I hope the tactic was that we are unlikely to get anything more than a point...and as such, we tried a new formation and gave the fringe players a run out.

So hopefully, they will be fresh for the next two home games and we take maximum points. If we'd have started with the subs on the pitch and the jokers they replaced off it, then we would have won.

Thursday a.m. can't come quick enough : )

I think Lamouchi thought that team would have been good enough not to lose. The two home games represent an opportunity for 6 points on the board but maybe he was a looking a little too far ahead yesterday?

I don't agree entirely that Bostock, Mir, and Robinson aren't good enough. I think that the problem on Sunday was that the manager made too many changes; five in personnel and one in formation.

Only one change was necessary; Sow was out and I think Bostock was the obvious replacement. I think that had that been the only change Bostock and the rest of the team would have played better than they did on the day.

Robinson has played plenty of games at LB and a few as a left sided CB, and done fine. But we didn't need to change the LB on Sunday.

We played Ameobi out of position a few games back it didn't work. We played Ribeiro out of position and that didn't work. Lesson learned? Don't play players out of position. (Except in an emergency)

Mir I will agree he is probably not good enough.

Adomah should have come on rather than Carvalho.
