I take my hat off and admit I may have been wrong about lampard, he's putting together a good young team, though I'm not sure how much is lampard and how much is down to the mammoth youth system Chelsea have.

Thanks, was just warming to you as well . You've gone and ruined that now ccckface.

You have done great young players though.

couldn't resist.
It's a happy thing being a Chelsea supporter right now. So little to moan about and so much realistic optimism. Just look at how crap our board is to give you an indication of how content we are

And no wahl in sight.

You do have some very talented youngsters, aside the ibcious picks you have people like Gilmore who looks like he has the qualities of a top control game strategic midfielder, and there not many of them around these days. Lampard clearly puts faith in the young players, so could be the start of an impressive and long term team.

I'm a bit jealous ole is trying to do the same.

Thought the exact same with Kova and jorginho, great partnership and would be a real shame to break it up, especially when I don't think kantes quality's would work with either in the same way to produce a better overall dynamic than they currently have together. But to leave kante out just seems mad.

Thinking the same but like you said kante is probably the only chelsea player that will get into a world 11 and to leave him out is bordering on insanity.
Let's not even talk of rlc not sure he gets into our 11 until next season.

Hearing the crowd chanting Jorginho's name non stop put a massive smile on my face

Jorginho & Kovacic this season are examples of how much a playing style can both enhance/hinder a players game and how it's perceived. Jorginho was doing the same job for Sarri that he's doing now, but Lampard's willingness to break through zones via direct passes or dribbles has complimented the entire team better which has freed Jorginho from opposition shackles (as they have more to think about). And Kovacic is benefiting from precisely that approach, being freed from Sarri's pass and move style, he wants to go up and down not laterally - he was a good player who simply didn't suit the style last year.

The synchronicity of our movements in transition today was SO good. We always had a player stretching the defense even without numerical superiority. That's Jose's imprint on Lampard, more than the defensive structure stuff his memo is about perfecting transitions and we were magnificent in that regard.

Sarri would've creamed himself seeing how we played out from the back aswell, suckered Watford into pressing bait over and over again.

Great match. Great performance.

Sadly, Jorginho got a yellow card right at the end of the game yesterday, which means he will definitely miss the Palace game. I hope Kante will be back in time to take his place - and as much as Kante brings to the team, we will definitely miss Jorginho’s leadership.
