Cocu said in his post match something about being forced to change the setup with Lawrence moving into the centre, cos Borough setup differently to what they expected.

I think Borough went for a 3 man defence early on and first 5 mins I was fearing the worse. I think maybe Cocu was trying Marriott behind Martin in a 4-2-3-1 initially and then had to switch it to the diamond. It worked and maybe we have an antidote to getting overrun by teams that play 3 at the back against us: Leeds, Brentford, Charlton.

Could this be our default setup, home set up or back to the 4-2-3-1 of old?

I think attacking wise it gets our best players into the squad and gives us far more opportunity for out ball. Against a team with stronger wide players it might worry me a tad. Loved seeing TL, Martin and Marriott swarm their back three though.

Will Cocu risk it next weekend against the uninspiring, stultifying, anti football that has become synonymous with Nottingham Forest football club.

Ramdini can you please tell me whether there is a game this week or are we having another International break? I think we must be as it is so quiet on here.

I think we play the club who perform in a scruffy little ground just down the A52. Some call it Schitty Ground, others The Kennel.

Illuminating interview with Cocu in the Daily Telegraph. Subscription only so no link but for those that can access well worth the read.

Excellent win for u23s tonight, 2-1 v Feyenoord. Excellent team performance, all round. Stand-out for me was Jamal Hector-Ingram.
