I have stopped being sick (tension induced) and I am post-rationalising the circumstances on display yesterday. The first act of Forest violence was the tackle on Clarke. Deliberate studs-up assault on a Derby defender. I could see Darren England thinking about his decision - Red card or yellow - neither, he let him off. What is he after? The freedom of the city? Clarke, though he tries cannot continue. Later - Bogle in a similar but much milder bad tackle - gets booked.

Bogle generally had a good game. A pity about the back pass error. Do not despair Jeyden and enjoy your first international game. It was not your fault that. 1. Lawrence missed his chance. 2. Marriott missed his chance. 3. Martin missed his chance. 4 Waghorn missed his chance. So overal, I believe we should have won or at least drawn the game. I now hold out the hope that we should neutralise the defeat by beating them - more emphatically - at PP

We just have to accept that unlike in fairy tales, evil sometimes triumphs over good.

Stop being bad losers, how much practice does it take?

Tell me RFB. Who is being a bad loser anyway?

Did you not what to comment on the Lawrence tackle? By far the worst of the game.

I think the ref tried to make allowances for this being a local derby and give a bit more leeway, but gradually he lost control and the last thirty minutes he had a bit of a 'mare (although he did make some errors in the first half)

RF50!

Did he book Lawrence ? (I can't remember) But he will get anomalous decisions when he makes such an error over the Yates studs first tackle going unpunished, when a straight red would have been justifiable.

Anyway, in the end I was reasonably pleased with Derby's performance. After all Forest are a decent side and Derby matched them except for poor finishing. We certainly created more chances and we ought to have buried at least 2 of them.

Compared to most of our away performances this season that counts as real progress.

I think he took pity on Lawrence. He had a torrid afternoon and got hammered by the crowd to the extent he had difficulty even keeping his corners in play. It wasn’t an horrendous tackle, his momentum took him into Ribeiro. In the category of you’ve seen them given.

The way that challenges are currently interpreted, Lawrence was lucky not to get sent off. But generally I think refs are too keen to get the red card out. In previous matches there have been quite a few unnecessary red cards, more for Forest than for us. I didn’t think Yates’ challenge was too bad, maybe a yellow. It was just bad luck that an injury resulted, not malicious intent.

Yes, given what I was used to when growing up, the majority of the challenges made yesterday you would laugh off and give tour opponent the “dead eye”.

I did note a distinct lack of “Rooney” chants from 1900 Rams fans on attendance yesterday. He will be disappointed, no doubt?

The Netherlands flag adorned with Cocu that was waverd around by one enthusiastic Ram early doors soon disappeared not to be seen again for the rest of the match. A sign?

Got to agree with you Spart, it was a hell of a better performance than the Leeds game

After years of undoubted Forest inferiority cf Derby County Street is basking in the glory of a 1-0 win which by any standards owed a great deal to luck and an error by a young, but very talented full back. And a helpful referee. You will have to wait and see Strett what a full season brings. I don't think you will be crowing come May 2020.

Not crowing, just my opinion that Derby were pee-poor and if that was an improvement then that kinda proves my point. 👍

Actually Strett the sheep weren’t as poor as I expected. The gulf between the team that played in the cup and the one on Saturday is massive and doesn’t bode well for their future prospects. Bogle (despite being mugged Several times by Silva) is good young player but will leave them soon. Bielik looked useful in both roles. Lawrence, who should have seen red, is also a good player; but as a person? No.

You say Derby were p poor and yet your only goal came from a mistake by a young player. I thought we had more chances to score than you, but you won so well done. I would save my crowing till you've beaten us by a bigger margin and if you think your team are going upwards you are in for a sad shock.

Highest league position in several years. I would say that is an upwards trend. Chin up. 👍🏼
