Yet another player being given a couple of years longer than he should have.

Agree, dont see how, if we go up he is useful for another 3 seasons of premiership action

Where do we want to be in 4 years time........id suggest most fans would accept a mid-table premier league side hopefully around 10-12th spot.

Will a 34-year old Klich, 33-year old Cooper and a 32-year old Dallas be able to contribute to that?

As much as I love all three of those players you hit the nail on the head pretty well there

Very very strange. Runs his socks off, works hard, but end product and quality is lacking too often. Can get away with it in championship but not in the premiership. Would have given him 2 years max

2.5 is the right deal

like klich but this is insane. seems like there's no long term plan after promotion. or a plan for promotion at all.
next a five year deal for allioski.

I like klich, under-rated by a lot of fans in my view and, touch wood, always fit.

But we seem to say it every time? How long? You use long term deals to secure future value on younger players. For older players, You sometimes have to give a bit longer than you’d like to get the player to sign, especially if there is interest elsewhere... but even so? 3 years I could understand, not 4.5.

I very much doubt he's taken a reduction in wages, this is a shocker of a deal.

Great news that, Klich is one of our best players
Know there is a lot of Klich haters on these sites that think he is sheit

If we get to the Prem, their wages won't be much of a problem even if we're not playing them as first choices.

If we don't get to the Prem, they are good players at this level.

I wince a little at these long contracts, but I don't think it will cause us any financial headaches.

Think its seen as a reward and a positive as much as an actual extension. Makes the player feel wanted by the club. A 1 year deal doesn't send out the same kinda message even though 4 for a 29 year old is a bit odd.

Good player but I agree it seems a long deal.

on the face of it, looks a bit odd I agree.

I assume we all know the exact details, wages? - pay rises if promoted?, get out clauses if he fails to make the first team?

until then, I won't comment on with it's a 'shocker', just seems like wasted words without the details right?
