YES.

Right manager that was at the wrong club. Arsenal will get the best out of him.

Yes definitely. The board has to react now. I had a feeling Poch will come to Arsenal month back, I hope it’s true!

Poch is waiting for Utd. But it would be quite funny.

But note that Poch didnt win a single trophy with Spurs. Do we really want that?

The Spurs board didn't really back Poch either. We are on the other hand spending a net c£90m-£100m a season and getting nowhere with the present coach.

Not winning a trophy with Spurs is like criticising George Best for not winning the world cup.

*I'm discounting the minor trophies like the FA Cup and League Cup, winning those doesn't prove much although it's nice

From an outside POV he had Spurs punching way above the resources given. Measuring trophies in that scenario is frankly stupid

I think we have to start saying Kroenke and Sanllehi... the board no longer wields any power.

But in answer to the OP... yes. He'll get our young players firing, we'll play attractive footie again and he'll stick two fingers up to the chicken-on-a-ball club, much like Sol back in the day!

Poch was on 5 year £8m-£10m a season so he'll get a massive payout. Think he'll wait for the summer before joining anyone. I suspect he wants Madrid or Barca.

No one is when kudos of Barca is involved. Espanyol are still Catalan. Thats more important than any local rivalry between a small club and its bigger neighbour.

First of all no I don't want him at Arsenal. He's won nothing throughout his career. Secondly, whether he'd betray Spurs and join us anyway depend on how he was treated by the club and how he was sacked. If it was the culmination of months of rows with Levy and co then perhaps he doesn't feel as loyal as he used to when things at Spurs were going so swimmingly.

But I am an Espanyol supporter. I don’t think I need to speak too much. It’s like if one day [the Tottenham chairman] Daniel Levy sacked me – in a few years it would be impossible for me to manage Arsenal. In football I know it is so difficult to keep your values and to be loyal – with your heart and emotion. But for me before being a manager, before being a player, being loyal is more important. I am an Espanyol fan. I love Espanyol. It’s like Tottenham for me now. It will be impossible, one day, to move to Arsenal. It will be impossible.”

Can only go by what he says at the moment. No reason to doubt his words.

Southampton fans would.

Right. So in January he promised to stay until the end of the season and then joined Spurs in May. Wow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not the point.

People say things all the time in the heat of the moment and later do something quite different.

Exactly the point. He said he wouldn't leave during the middle of the season and then didn't. He literally kept his word which makes your initial comment about Southampton fans even more irrelevant. Just accept you've had your usual shocker here and move on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What are you talking abt? Imagining things in your head again? Where did I say he promised to stay to Southampton fans?

Just said he said one thing which he did about backing Cortese and then didn't.

Jenius, you don't have a point. Your Southampton example is quite different from his explicitly stating that he won't manage the close rivals of his former clubs.

And yes, I'd take Pochettino. I find it hard to believe that he's any more clueless than Emery. He won't come though, and it seems our board are yet to wake up to the disaster unfolding before their eyes. I can't believe Emery is still at the club.
