Ok, about 3 minutes after the goal Davie Provan mentions McGregor, not for any fault he states and i quote
"I think it's Callum McGregor who tries to get back but it's too late, the centre halfs continue to back off and you can't argue with the strike"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're backing up everyone else's point you absolute doughnut.
Round in circles with this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm backing up a point that i lied by proving that i did not.
Interesting concept.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You said the commentators slated McGregor for the goal and agreed with you he was at fault.
They did not, the one quote where Provan apportions blame is this.
"The centre halfs have got to get out and squeeze quicker"
His comment about McGregor
"Callum McGregor tries to get back in but he is too late"
Worth pointing out, he was too late because of a misplaced pass from Liam Palmer, someone, you thought had a good game
It couldn't be more easier to understand.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you say a defending player is too late to get there, that implies they should have got there.

Ffs-it was fvcking impossible for him to get back and challenge for the ball! It doesn’t even matter what the commentators have said-it’s still completely ridiculous to suggest he has any blame in it.

Ridiculous, I've just watched the goal again, McGregor is in an advanced position when Scotland lose the ball, and i'd say he actually makes more effort than any other player to get back, if you can watch that goal and attribute blame to Callum then you clearly have an agenda.

"Callum McGregor 6
Link-up play usual standard, tried to organise and drive on"
So he kept the ball well, tried to drive the team on and tried to martial the midfield.
I'm unsure at what else you want from a sitting midfielder for Scotland?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wants him to be Ryan Jack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I want him to perform like a player deserving of a start on his form for Scotland.
Living off his reputation whilst Scotland can't afford to have guys that aren't bang at it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who would you replace him with?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
John Fleck
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hahaha
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fleck's having a tremendous season.
He was incredible against Liverpool.
Stood out in the losing team too

Ok, about 3 minutes after the goal Davie Provan mentions McGregor, not for any fault he states and i quote
"I think it's Callum McGregor who tries to get back but it's too late, the centre halfs continue to back off and you can't argue with the strike"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That sounds more like a compliment that a critisism, he saying Callum tried to get back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually he said he's too late rather than it's which suggests he could have got there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ridiculous, I've just watched the goal again, McGregor is in an advanced position when Scotland lose the ball, and i'd say he actually makes more effort than any other player to get back, if you can watch that goal and attribute blame to Callum then you clearly have an agenda.

"Callum McGregor 6
Link-up play usual standard, tried to organise and drive on"
So he kept the ball well, tried to drive the team on and tried to martial the midfield.
I'm unsure at what else you want from a sitting midfielder for Scotland?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wants him to be Ryan Jack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I want him to perform like a player deserving of a start on his form for Scotland.
Living off his reputation whilst Scotland can't afford to have guys that aren't bang at it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who would you replace him with?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
John Fleck
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hahaha
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fleck's having a tremendous season.
He was incredible against Liverpool.
Stood out in the losing team too
