When he was left and replaced by a BORN WINNER
But seriously, he was a good coach and a good man and as you say Ajax away was the best moment.
Fantastic write up in the Standard yesterday.
Pochettino takes the Spurs fans on a merry song & dance
He leaves the club in FAR better shape than he found it.

Was putting BORN WINNER in capitals not obvious enough that it was sarcasm? Or is it only the yoof who know that?

I see
The Ajax or City game we’re my favourites plus the 2 victories over Arsenal.

City away in the CL
Madrid at home in the CL
Every home game in the final season at the OWHL
That last season at the old WHL was amazing. Never once felt like we were gonna lose, we looked solid at the back and amazing going forward.
All of 16/17 season
Madrid home
Ajax away
Chelsea home last season
Arsenal wins
The so called top 4 became the so called top 6 because of the Man City owner's billions and Poch's coaching.
Madrid games
Ajax semi (those tears of pure joy)
Last season at WHL
His quotes about Barca and Arsenal. Always good to hear loyalty/instilled rivalry is still alive in some quarters.
Even Jose would like this thread it appears its reported in the Metro: "‘I’ve been smiling for two days. First of all, and I do it with a bit of sadness, I have to speak about Mauricio,’ said Mourinho at his first press conference on Thursday. ‘I have to congratulate him for the work that he did. I have to share with you what we already shared indoors which is that this club will always be his home, this training ground will always be his training ground. ‘He can come when he wants, when he misses the players, when he misses the players that he worked with. The door is always open for him. ‘From my experience, tomorrow is another day. He will find happiness again. He will find a great club again, and he will have a great future."
I loved seeing him at the end of the Man United Game (the last one at WHL) Just finished a fantastic season, unbeaten home record and just thumped United. H seem 100% happy & committed to Spurs with a bright future ahead. I really like him as bloke, seems like a throughly decent, upstanding guy. I still don't think he's the manager some are making out & his timing coincided with failings of traditional heavyweights which defo helped boost his rep/persona, but regardless the guy did fine job in difficult circumstances & I wish him all the best wherever he goes next (even if that's in England). I honestly think with a bit more backing he'll get that 1st trophy

From the outside, you were at your best when you had Walker and Rose as wing backs and Dele playing off Kane with a solid base. I don't know why he strayed away from that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because levy sold walker and bought Aurier then Rose got injured and left us with Davies.

Aurier is a black Alberto Moreno lets be honest, Davies is average too without the pace. Didnt replace or cover them well.

i don't doubt either of those things. I also don't believe for a second that "Levy" signed them. He didn't scout them or make offers without Poch knowing. How much did Aurier cost?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Something like £20m because PSG wanted rid of him.
Sold walker for £50m so Levy was loving it.
The fact aurier barely played ( until we sold trippier ) tells me poch wasn’t really a fan of his.
The real decline started last season when we sold Dembele. Such a beast of a player. It started to go wrong slowly from there onwards.
The most important man the club has had in 30 years. Club legend in my eyes.
Funnily enough a game I remember fondly was beating Everton at the lane 2-1 in his first year. Think we were around midtable at the time, but he played Mason and Bebtaleb and it felt like the positive change was coming.
Soldado scored on the stroke of half time and the whole stadium was singing his name as he went down the tunnel.
There is an old saying that roughly says: "be careful what you ask for, you might get it".
Spurs fans, you just got it! If Jose gets the same level of support and cooperation from Levy and company as Poch did, then he will be gone in a year.
Knowing Mourinho he'll likely want to start bolstering the defence. Nathan Aké is a name that comes in mind.
It's still odd to sack a manager who frankly overdelivered over a long period and appoint a new manager who will want money to strengthen the team. Why not give Poch the cash to reinvest?
