I remember watching that game. I think Man Utd had like near 40 shots that game and Spurs had like that 1 shot. The linesmen never had to look at our goal for virtually whole game and only had to from a shot so far out lol and Carroll did the illusion that it didn't go in the way he clawed it out.
A worse decision than that is Reading 3-4 Man Utd. Reading defender a few yards inside net clears it and it isn't allowed lol.

Just watched the highlights on MOTD. Nothing wrong with any of their goals. Bit lucky for the first but that's about it.
TOOR other than the fact by the letter of the law both goals should be disallowed.

Why? You are allowed to use your shoulder against another players shoulder.
I don't see any reason why any of the others could be disallowed.
It was the arm. Also 1st goal they didn’t analyse it on MOTD other than saying they got lucky with 1st goal. Lawro thought it was a clear foul and is worried how the 1st goal stood.

It didn't touch his arm. He pulled his arm away from it, kneed it down and scored.
The other was shoulder to shoulder. All good.
It appears these rules you were speaking of were adhered to.
The other wasn’t shoulder to shoulder. Jones was 2 yards ahead ball side and then player slams him down with a lot of force. I just saw Burnley got a prnalty for less than what Greenwood against Southampton.
The other wasn’t shoulder to shoulder Jones was ahead and then pushed to the floor. There was no shoulder to shoulder. It was just a blatant push to take him out.

Debatable at best but all good for me.
There was no handball, he moved his arm away and controlled it with his knee.
The Burnley penalty was as clear as day, the defender kicked the Burnley player and didn't get the ball.
Also the fact you said it didn’t hit his arm when images shown it hit his right arm. Only way to control the ball into his path was with outstretched arm. I guarantee you these 2 decisions will class as 2 big errors by VAR.
The fact Liverpool 1st goal stood against Man City after a clear handball by Liverpool to stop a clear goalscoring opportunity shows you VAR is here to win Liverpool PL and deny top 4 Man Utd deserve. Its insane how many bad decisions that we were denied. Clear handball against Arsenal as well.
So why didn’t Greenwood get a penalty when getting smashed by an airkick against Southampton. That one was 10x more a penalty than the Burnley one.

City didn't get a penalty as the laws brought in this season include referees having to give major consideration to deflections(which was actually already the case). Considering there was a deflection off the City players hand, the penalty wasn't given. The freekick wasn't given to Liverpool as the distance was too short and Silva couldn't do anything about it. Again the correct decision.
It appears to me that you need to have a wee read of the laws.

Haven't see it but going by your clear bias, I suspect it was the correct decision also.
Lol everyone knows it hit his arm. Its just the ref bottled it.
Also the only way to control a ball to your path from that position is by your arm. It was 100% should have been disallowed. Its not even a debatable decision as it is clear as any offside decision. The ref completely bottled it just as he did for the 1st goal.
Greenwood got to the ball and Southampton player smashed Greenwood legs with full force thinking he was going to kick the ball lol. Think of how keepers take a goalkick and instead of smashing the ball he smashed Greenwood legs.
Everybody doesn't know. The replays are clear. No it is not the only way, as was proven. He used his knee.
You're nuts.
It hit his arm. The only way to score from that position was to use arm. If hit his chest it would have gone out for a goalkick or throw in. Hitting his arm teed him up perfectly.
What I don’t get is how Burnley is given as a penalty and a 10x worse one on Greenwood against Southampton isn’t. Is it because Man Utd would most likely win so they ignore it?
Oh go on then, show me the Greenwood one.
Thres still images of hitting his right biceps to control the ball. The refs made a howler and awarded a goal. Theres even an image showing how Liverpool got a prn in CL final for hitting pretty much shoulder from a impossible to move out the way place and we see someone control the ball with arm, only way to get the ball down like that and score from it. If it hit his chest it would have gone for a throw in due to angle of ball.
https://youtu.be/9cFMVPgQuic 1 min 16 secs in for best angle.
Also that game Southampton should have been down to 8 men but because ref gave 1 red card he ignored everything else.
Isnt it funny how they ignore everything thats gone against us with var theres been numerous blatant fouls on matip and vvd rtc etc at corners, utd given a goal that should have been ruled out for a clear foul on origi that lead to it, the firmino goal ruled out for offside a few weeks ago vs villa after some manipulation by atkinson in the var room moving lines at dodgy angles yeah refs love us and are corrupt alright Atkinson does everything he can to rob us ffs even went to the extent of drawing his own lines at angles so he could rule out a goal, ignored a blatant foul on origi so utd could score. And steal a point.
Then they try make out salah was offside vs city 😂 a handball by trent should be a pen despite bernardo silva handballing it first oh and palace goal should have stood after a soft foul given to palace from a fonger on zaha yet lovren wasnt fouled two arms in the back shove which eveb hodgson their manager said was correctly ruled out 😂😂
Also Rashford against AZ Alkmaar was so obvious you could be 1 mile away and give penalty.
Sign in if you want to comment
Refs hate Man Utd and love Liverpool
