Pros of keeping Ole:
I think he knows what he wants to achieve at United and that if he can it’ll be in tune to what the supporters want (see cons on this also)
He’s willing to give youth a chance
He’s realised the squad needs trimming down and has rid the squad of players we were more than happy to see leave (I do think we should have kept Smalling though.)
The signings he’s made so far at least have the right kind of character and do seem to actually want to play for the club
If things get really bad it means that the anger of the fans will be directed towards the proper villains in this – the Glazers and Woodward. The crowd won’t turn on Ole.
Cons:
I’m not sure if he’s the man to coach the team effectively enough to see pro 1 to fruition
I think we should have signed a midfielder (or two) rather than spend so much on Maguire
I think he takes too much blame himself.
If we are to keep Ole then the next two windows are massive. I’m hoping that we have already identified the players we need and are actively pursuing them now. Even if Ole were to leave I believe that who he has in mind would be players that United should be going for.
The club under invested while SAF was still in charge. The club made a massive mistake by allowing SAF and Gill to leave at the same time. Then the club made a monumental error by appointing Moyes. All they’ve been doing since is sticking their fingers in leaks. Sacking Ole isn’t going to change anything. Hiring serial loser Poch certainly won’t change anything. The club needs a root and branch overhaul. Woodward needs to be moved sideways to just deal with the commercial stuff. A football man needs to come in at the top. Until that happens, then whoever the manager is, they’re doomed to fail.

Not 1 credible argument for keeping him so far.

My first comment was a credible argument, regarding the fact he has only had 1 window to address the issues in the squad.
You just chose to ignore it.

It would be credible if that was your response regarding a credible manager.
He's not one at this level.
As a neutral that's how i see it. If he had a track record you would back him now, he doesn't so sack him.

Who's fault would it be then?
Then he should say as much instead of being a yes man.

That would work well wouldn't it?
I've also given you some pros for keeping Ole above too. I'm not a rabid Ole in person though and I don't think it'd be too harsh if he got the sack if we're judging by results and performances at all. However, sacking him and bringing in a new manager still wouldn't solve the underlying problem.

The right manager could change the tactics, line up, morale without any involvement from Ed.

Ed and the Glazers.
When it comes to spending I don't think they're the worse owners but they really shouldn't have allowed things to come to this.
They obviously didnt want to be on their 4th permanent manager since SAF and having to spend a fortune every window and still have a pretty shocking squad.
Getting the right manager is a lot to do with timing, which Is why i dont blame Ed for going with Lvg and Jose, who were the best available at the time. It's also why I want us to move for Poch whilst he is available.
Its not credible.

-----------------------
What did Ole get wrong in the window? People have been relatively happy with the signings of AWB, Maguire (if overpriced) and James.
If he was given another couple of windows to bring in more he might have a good young team with room to develop.
He neglected to sign a midfielder and chose not to replace Lukaku.
Big McTominay (U22257)

The club didn't sign a midfielder.
That's not the same as Ole neglecting it.

I think he did want to replace Lukaku, but we couldn't get a deal for a replacement done in time.
Is Ole in charge of our transfer negotiations?
Additionally, it seems like he made a decision to go with 4-2-3-1 and had McT, Pogba, Matic, Fred as options with Pereira as 5th choice. Numbers wise, we are fine in that department, you can definitely make a case for the lack of quality in our back up options.
Ed said the other day that its hard enough (for him anyway) to bring in more than 3 per window, so I don't know why you are blaming Ole for not being able to address the more aspects of the squad in that window.
Vida - No. Ole said the one we wanted in the summer wasnt available so he chose not to sign one.
And even if you argued we were ok in midfield numbers wise, we arent quality wise.
And Ed said it was hard, not impossible.

Is Maguire much off an upgrade on say Smalling who been shipped out on loan.
James is one for the future still very raw yet has to play every game due to such a poor window.
Awb Again very raw, At the min, unless going forward. Don’t think I seen him beat a player going forward and put a decent cross in.
