Think it’s on the 7th isn’t it?

Hard to see Joshua messing this one up.

Joshua to win in 9 rounds. TKO.

He won't make the same mistakes twice.
He'll stay back, use his reach to jab away.
Be a boring fight but a must to see.

Josh on points. We will see a very robotic low risk Josh but he will still put Ruiz down a couple of times.

AJ will definitely want it to be a boring fight with lots of jabbing at distance and then holding when they get in close. Whether Ruiz lets him fight that way remains to be seen.

Ruiz wins again. Just don't see what changes, and think AJ is just cashing in on one last big payday can see it in his eyes. He has a chance but Ruiz is just too quick, elusive and powerful for him, bit like Amir Khan he'll try box for a few rounds but then revert to type, Ruiz will start catching him and then wear him down and then it's game over again

Ruiz rounds 7-12

I hope i'm wrong though but predicted it in the first fight and just can't see a different result. Shame i'm not getting 25/1 this time but happy for AJ to win, want to see him and Wilder/Fury still

A lot of folk saying that AJ will just stay behind his jab like the Parker fight. Parker was too scard to engage AJ where as Ruiz is not. AJ's discipline is not good enough like say Fury to just jab the whole 12 rounds. Ruiz by late stoppage for me.

there's a reason fury has to stay disciplined, he doesn't have the power to engage in fire fights like aj does, aj technique wise looks like an amateur next to fury though, people laugh at wilders technique(rightly so) but watch when aj sees someone in trouble his technique goes to $h!t and he goes side on like a rock em sock em robot

for the fight, I cant see anything other than aj being very cautions and ruiz pushing the fight based on what happened last time but can easily see aj connecting big and taking him out early or ruiz taking aj deeper and catching him clean and aj unravelling again

good shout United on fury, he does lack the power

That's the thing with HW boxing, if either guy connects it could be over fairly quickly.

Ruiz was caught by AJ in the last fight and went over, granted it was not a totally clean/feet planted punch but he looked fresh when he climbed to his feet. AJ was all over the globe each time he was caught. It could be another fighter vs athlete again.

If AJ wins this fight will be actually fight the winner of the Wilder vs Fury rematch ?

I can see AJ avoiding those two like the plague now which would be a shame as we need to find out who's the best HW in the world right now.

I suppose there would have to be a AJ vs Ruiz 3 first unless AJ wins this rematch convincingly.

Yeah I was reading this morning that the winner of this fight might have to fight Pulev as IBF mandatory with the IBF generally being strictest at enforcing mandatories. But that if Ruiz beats AJ again then it's quite possible he might fight Wilder with most of the belts on the line. (Maybe not the IBF if Ruiz is stripped for not fighting Pulev).

The Wilder vs Ruiz unification fight would be much easier to make happen although not sure it sells like a Wilder vs AJ fight. Not that I think AJ would want any part of Wilder if he wins this rematch. It's all up in the air though, as you say so many variables. I just want to see the best fight the best and let's find out who the number 1 heavyweight in the world truly is.

AJ weighing in at 16st13....he was not lying about the weight!

Looking lean but powerful. Hopefully he's not gambled too much on focusing on speed and agility at the expense of power.....

Not sure if AJ weighing in as light as that is a good idea. He's naturally slower than Ruiz in terms of handspeed and so losing weight isn't necessarily gong to be able to make him match Ruiz for speed. He's definitely going to lose some power though which he'll need as he's probably not going to outpoint Ruiz imo.
