You can keep Rodgers. He fooled most of the footballing world in early 2014 but was outed and confirmed as a Fraud by the footballing world in 2015. They guy was a running joke at Liverpool so I don't want him at Arsenal.

Rogers to Arsenal Madison to United in January. Leicester's season is pretty much dead in the water in January. You have to remember that you have to get to 40 points to stay up. Leicester are a long way off that and without Rogers and Madison, can you realistically see them getting the number of wins they require to stay up?

The Scottish leagues are starved of money. The English leagues should be better.

Your club went for BR because of his 'success' in Scotland. They obviously disagree with you. Otherwise you went for a manager whose only claim to fame is winning a diddly league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The English leagues should be better? 4 clubs in an European final and most likely this year an English club will be in a European final. How much better do you want? 🤣

Rodgers is the reason Kieran Tierney has had his hop injury, so selfish he put personal glory over a young man's health.

Rodgers only cares about Rodgers, we all saw his house art.

I'm not bitter. Never liked the guy and it was a relief when he left. Had enough of his turgid possession based nonsense.
He didnt leave Celtic because of the league, or the club or the attraction of Leicester. He's a backstabber for sure.
He's a shiver looking for a spine to crawl up.

Some very reasoned and interesting responses to this post which surprised me when I read it (solid bait for a few teams in there).

In my view:

Poch > Rodgers. If Utd ditch Ole 3 months in to his 3 year plan then surely he would be the man. He has a clause that he can’t manage in the prem this season so I imagine the match would happen in the summer if Utd don’t improve.

Spurs or Arsenal could be potential options for Rodgers but not yet. Not yet.

I still don’t think Rodgers is a top top manager, and I think we’re a perfect size club and fit for him right now.

Leicester have made it clear we won’t sell anyone in Jan. We’re no longer a club held to ransom. If a player wants to leave teams have to over pay. We’ll only sell in Jan if we already have someone lined up.

Think that covers it. Respect to the sensible and solid debate on here (in the main) 👍

It’s called ambition. I’m sure Celtic would have had no problems dispensing with him if he hadn’t have performed. There’s no loyalty amongst clubs these days, why should there be any with managers? He’s looking to manage at the top level and should he do the business with us then I’ll have no objection if the day comes when he moves on

No problem with personal ambition.

No problem with Rodgers..now!

But the problem i did have was the "this is my dream job" bull $hit

"I know Celtic is not just a football club it's a way of life. You must watch this. You'll feel inspired."

"For the people I love and the Club I support"

"I don't see Celtic as a stepping stone, I want to be here as long as I can."

“There is not a place I could be in this world right now where I’d be happier in my football life and personal life."

"Glasgow and I’m in the best job in the world.
I absolutely love it here. I’m so happy here at Celtic. I’m in a job that I love."

It's not naivety, he did fantastic work, but his love meant he walked out midseason for, with respect, Leicester, a decent team enjoying their salad days.

Maybe if the OP didnt intentionally rattle the cage, we wouldn't point out the inevitable,

Hector - I can understand all those comments look disingenuous now the circumstances have changed.

I think one of Rodgers biggest issues historically has been his hyperbole in his rhetoric. It was cringeworthy at Liverpool, it clearly annoyed Celtic but improved, and I’d say he’s learned from both those experiences.

He talks very much about Leicester in the now. “I’m happy here now”.

Yes he probably could have done a better job of managing the fans but I think it was naivety rather than an attempt to hoodwink the fans. He’s definitely less David Brent nowadays, and definitely less OTT.

I guess like all of us, he’s matured and learned.

The bigger point I'm trying to make, and I do think most foxes accept it, is that he does what is best for him.

Good luck and I hope the next guy continues your great season, you're flying and youre a good watch.

We also don't have the keep possession and do nothing with it issue because we have better players who can actually do something with the ball, unlike Celtic. Your players lack the quality to be able to play the way we can, we're simply better than you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We would walk all over you, forget about it being a European game because that's irrelevant, our team is far superior to yours, hence why so many clubs want so many of our players and nobody wants yours.

Your players are bargain basement so if they were any good someone would buy them for a fraction of the fees they'd need to pay for proper players, like Tierney for example going for £25m and he's not even good enough to get into Arsenal's shocking defence.

You live in a dreamworld and your overestimation of how good you are is ridiculous.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Out of interest what exactly are the unprovable statements? It's pretty obvious that first of all we have a far better team, we're 2nd in the Premier League. We have the best defence, the fourth highest possession and have scored more goals than Liverpool, proof that we have the players to do something with the ball. Your players just aren't good enough, simple as that.

The fact you need to be talked through your 'unprovable statements' speaks volumes.

Unlike your ignorant, uneducated, bitterly blinkered self, I appreciate you have a once in a lifetime team and wish you the best of luck coming 3rd.
