Mind you we did sign El Hadji Diouf. He wasn't a popular acquisition but some of us liked him.

not for me

Thought Diouf behaved himself well when he was with us.

He only showed the odd glimpse of his former footballing skills though as he was on the decline.

I really don't want us signing any more players who are has-beens.

he's more a never was, with a poor attitude to boot.

How can you back any human being who says things like this ......'"If you have a 1 year old daughter, I fook her" "I fook your mum too, your dad too, everyone!" '

I liked Diouf for us, was a decent player if in a poor era albeit at the end of his career.

As for Balotelli, he is a very good player and could be as good as anyone but he doesn't seem to want to be

haha, probably harsh on Balotelli, but can you think of anyone with more opposite values to Bielsa. Integrity, humility, discipline, hard work ethic. Without a dramatic personality shift, he'd never make it to the bench let alone starting 11!

Never ceases to amaze me, how little fans know or understand about football.

It’s like it’s champ manager.

How anyone who’s watch us and seen how the manager operates, think Mario would be a good signing, is beyond me.

Surprised because long, is normally a great poster

What part of his play fits in with how we play?

Even with a 50% reduction in his wages we would be forking out 15k week.

Balotelli's next move should be to the US where he can earn a tonne of cash playing in a poor league.

The only league he has done anything in for a while now is the poor French league.

Guy is past it, and that's saying something as he is still in his twenties

He's a player who, with the right manager, is a world beater. He is strong, fast and knows instinctively where the back of the net is. He just needs to feel wanted and respected, and with the service our players provide and with the Bielsa mentality in him, I believe he would be wonderful for us.

That's my football understanding of him.

Wasn't aware of any comments by him of the sort mentioned above - completely agree that is the type of character that is not wanted if it is his character and he did actually say stuff like that.

And we have only had one Bielsa who has made awesome players out of our current crop who most were slating before he arrived. Bielsa provides that magical spark

It's not his ability, it's his attitude and behaviour, we have only really seemed to had player who was a problem behind the scenes and he was sold for what was arguably a much lower valuation of his market value to brentford.

All the players that have turned it around under bielsa are hard workers who bought into what he was doing, the one he disnt we got shot of.

So I dont see any reason to believe that bielsa would bother wasting his time on him when he inevitably did something dumb or downed his tools.
