Dont understand he was a genius. He had a good spell and then it was 15 years of nothing much, and deteriorated rapidly over the past 4 seasons. Ferguson is a genius, he did it over 25 years and if he hadnt have to retire, he still would have won 2 or 3 titles in the past 6 seasons. I consider Pep to be a genius. Wenger is nothing more than a good manager, but not top drawer for a long time.
Wenger never seemed to want to sign a tough defender or a player with character. Such players probably intimidated him.

Yep. And also when David Dein left. Wenger provided the magic,Dein kept everything solid and stopped things going down the pan. Once he was gone Wenger took over everything and his weaknesses were exposed. Too nice, too loyal and too damn stubborn. Kronke was happy to take the 4th place dividend and never gave a toss about the club or the fans.We need a total reboot from top to bottom, or at least a coach who will scare the krap out of this shower!
