To be fair for the most part it was Morelos that created his own chances
He has great movement and strength , he's a smart player in many aspects of his game

He reminds me of bangura at times

My tactical advice for Morelos going into yesterday game would have been, have a few shots, but at all times look for someone in a better position than you, IE Kent or Defoe.

You could be more direct and say, you never score against Celtic and get frustrated and waste good opportunities, so calm it down and create opportunities for others, not for yourself unless there is nothing else on.

That advise might have had a better out come yesterday.

A tip for Stevie G - please play a centre half who has an Aeriel threat, such as katic.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You taking this down Gerrard?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha - it's good advice.

Just because a guy has won the champions league in 2005 , you can't go assuming that same guy will be any good at picking the best substitute options available on your bench when you are a goal down but have a man advantage over your opponents.

Edouard will stay until the summer but it would not surprise me one bit if Morelos (more likely his agent) wasn't making noises again about moving south.

Yesterday would have done him no good at all in that respect whereas the exact opposite could be said of Eddie.

The scary thing is for both teams how much they depend upon one player.

I think Morelos strength is in the chances he creates for others.

I think he is a great player and we have not seen the best of him yet. He is still developing and still in his early 20s.

The last 6 months Gerrard has found a balance with our strikers where he rotates them and Defoe and Stewart have knocked in a decent goals return for the matches they play and minutes they are on the park

Yesterday Gerrard didn't get the best out of Morelos. He should have hooked him after 60 mins and finished the game with Defoe and Stewart.

If that was a normal game, IE non old firm. Rangers v hibs for instance, Morelos would have been off after 65 mins.

My concern is when we lose Morelos and Defoe!

Right, onwards and upwards.

I have every confidence yesterday's positive performance and dominant display by Rangers will be the catalyst for us to go on a winning run that sees us qualifying from the Europa League and take top spot in the league by the time the winter break comes.

On that positive note , I am checking out of this thread.

Changing the topic slightly, i have just checked the local weather here for the next few days, clear sky's for the next week, 34 degrees tomorrow, 18 at night, 39 on Wednesday, 20 at night, 42 on Thursday, 24 at night, 41 on Friday, 20 at night, 39 on Saturday, 17 at night and cooling down to 33 on Sunday, 16 at night.

How am I meant to get into the Christmas vibe in that climate? It's clearly summer! Yet at night time there are Christmas lights and Inflatable Santa's everywhere.

Jullien: "How will this affect Rangers? I don’t know. I don’t play for Rangers. If I did I wouldn’t have this medal around my neck! It’s their problem and none of my business. But this final will stay with us forever."

Ha. Big Jullien

"Rangers are vvanks. Beat it."

More-or-less.
