I think 20k a game are Koreans watching Son

We need the attendance expert CFC on this.

I think it's the usual churn of tickets and the bigger the stadium the bigger the number that do not make it.

Because we report actual attendance its shows, but actually £3k in a 58k crowd is nothing really. Its one seat in every 20 and you'd never notice that and on TV the place looked full and im sure the atmosphere didnt suffer either.

There'll always be a certain percentage that don't turn up for whatever reason, it's just more noticeable now we've got 62k capacity.

We must be cashing in big time on having Son....Asian player of the year again, that wonder goal. I hope we have a mega store in Seoul, surely the entire country supports Spurs

It always looks full even when its 2/3k under which makes you realise how far other clubs must be under capacity when there are swathes of empty seats.

Always 60k+ of course!

I put my tickets on the exchange for Brighton and Chelsea and they sold within 24 hours, so don't think it's a price issue.

I think people have tickets and just aren't that fussed about going so don't show up... Would be interested how it compares to other big clubs who post actual attendance figures.

I was thinking about doing the midweek Norwich home match and for a decent seat it’s like £55.

Think I’ll just stay home.

I can understand maybe a couple of hundred may not be able to go on any matchday, but 3,000 seems extraordinarily high, it is like a whole away allocation failing to turn up.

It’s only around 61k seats for football matches iirc

And if you take segregation, away end not full and the casual drop outs for this sort of game it’s not unusual for around that sort of attendance tbf

i thought 58k was a decent crowd for burnley

I guess we'll know the full house capacity for a football match when we play Chelsea at home I can't imagine too many of our season ticket holders wanting to miss that one.

So did I.

When you consider the lack of success in the last 30 years Spurs support is outrageous.

People must be addicted to the pain!

Yes 58,000 was an absolutely belting crowd Hounslows, especially just before Xmas. But I am asking why the game was supposedly sold out, there should really be 61,000 at the match. I am trying to attain where the 3,000 stayaways were/are.

Spurs were getting 70,000 gates in the old 2nd division days of the 1940s, so shows they have always had a huge support whether playing good or bad.

On this subject plenty of empty seats at the Athletics stadium for a London derby.

Another just under 60k attendance.

posted on 9/12/19

I would assume 3000 ticket holder’s probably decided to go Xmas shopping instead. It’s only 5% of the crowd. 95% attendance against Burnley just before Xmas on a Saturday is pretty good.
At least we don’t say the attendance is 61k like Arsenal would
