"What's impressed me the most is that he has somewhat turned it around. Sometimes things get so bad that the dressing room is lost and the managers position becomes untenable."

I don't believe he ever lost the dressing room. Not like Jose did, or say Potch at Spurs.

Nope. And its actually an important point that a lot of our supporters just refuse to acknowledge.

If as a manager you have a group willing to work their arsses off for you, you are half way there. That applies in any walk of life.

"As far as I know, Ed is the decision maker. No other execs or the owners have been deened responsible for any other decisions"

Decisions that have seen us go from 13 league titles in 22 (?) years to 0 league title challenges since his arrival?

Decisions that have lead to successful managers fail to the point we are now ripping up and starting again?

He gets all the credit in the world for that
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I wasnt arguing he get credit for that.

Chaps, I agree Woodward hasnt been perfect but come on, you all just look childish not giving him ANY credit for appointing Ole, letting Sanchez and Lukaku go at a loss backing him on the transfer market and stuck g with Olw when the easy think to do would be to appoint one of the 3 named coaches whilst available.

Why do you have this weird fascination with Ed? Its almost as if you use him as a controversial figure deliberately to seek attention.

If you give Woodward credit for the good things (which I'm more than happy to do and hopefully I'll have plenty more opportunity to do so) you must also put a black mark against all of his failures.

With that in mind he's still well in the red for me.

It's not a fascination. He is the leader of our club. I wanted to gauge if his critics were objective or just disliked the guy. I think we have our answer.

'backing him in the market'??!! he left Ole with a paper-thin squad after his summer activity! I'm really pleased Ole has seen an upturn, cos now the focus can turn on Ed and back his claims that they will back Ole - 3 weeks until the next transfer window and we will all be watching with interest!

i think the way spurs were preforming made it look like he lost the dressing room.
ole hasn't done as badly as some on here try to make it look. not sure any of the three managers named could have done any better.
crazy to change the manager after giving him just one window.

_________

Woodward the muppet apparently deserves credit for not doing this ^ even though the OP himself has been calling for Ole's sacking since the beginning of the season

Felt to me that Poch reached a point where his message just wasn't getting through to the players any more and they lost belief. It seemed a similar situation to what he went through years ago at Espanyol.

He was on there talking about how we need to leave the EU and take back control of our borders to stop European rapists getting into the country.

I genuinely find it hard to believe there are people this stupid.

We couldn’t have had Ancelotti or Allegri anyway - they’d be stuck at UK border control while their criminal records were checked.
