Conservative and Unionist Party is no more. Scotland don’t want Boris or Brexit, N.I. Don’t want Boris or Brexit and Wales don’t want Boris.

The Union is no more. No matter what the Tories say, the Union is no longer in place. So the mantra of healing and uniting the UK is pash. 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------

?

If anything this vote means the UK is more of a union than ever before.

What is feasible is a United Ireland evolving from further discussions with the EU but I think you can dispel any notions of a Scottish independence vote any time soon
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The English MP’s will no doubt block indyref2 but the general opinion of people in Scotland is they don’t won’t to be ‘ruled’ by a buffoon like Bojo.

Scotland was given its “once in a generation” opportunity before and resoundingly voted to stay in a union. I’m not convinced in any way that this vote will have changed.

After the Brexit vote in Scotland and the elitist buffoonery from Bojo, I think there has been a significant amount of change in attitudes amongst Scottish people. There is a large feeling of betrayal and that could lead to a Yes vote if a second independence referendum was called.

Doubt we'll not see indy2 for a long time, Ginger, certainly not in my lifetime.

Polls don’t suggest that. In any event the question just won’t arise in the foreseeable future. Not one party out with the SNP would even entertain it.

Politically another referendum is unlikely due to the Ungerland MPs but I don’t think for a minute that Scottish people want to be ruled by elitist and English Sire Counties MP’s. Your opinion is your but I do not agree with it.

It’s so obvious that the present system does not work for Scotland. It’s as simple as that.

45.6% of the UK electorate voted for pro Brexit parties - Boris has his mandate for Brexit

46% of the Scottish electorate voted for pro independence parties - there's no mandate for another independence referendum?

I wouldn't support a UDI.

I would support legal action being taken by the Scottish Government.

I don't think the tipping point for Scottish independence will come until after Irish unification. I think the process of Brexit will lead to a unified Ireland not due to an upsurge in republican feeling but to apathy with unionism - it would simply be far more convenient to be aligned to the only country you share a land border with than with somewhere overseas. After seeing NI walk away from the UK, I think that would be enough to convince the last few % needed that Scotland needs to walk away too. Regardless of what happens, I do think we're witnessing the death throes of the British empire, and the people of both Scotland and England would benefit from calling time on the UK while it can still be done amicably.

Why does Scotland need to wait for anything? Just vote and leave. It's a stressful event for Europe, but it's all but inevitable. The world won't end unless you let Boris.the.clown get anything more than Brexit

Yesterday, I listened to Sturgeon on Andrew Marr and Blackford on Sophie Ridge. Both were as deluded as each other. They keep talking as if Scotland were already an independent nation trapped in the UK. It isn't. It is a part of the U.K. and votes as a region of the U.K. like any other.
For example, Scotland voted to remain in the EU. No, the U.K. voted to leave ergo Scotland voted to leave.
Scotland won the election. No. Boris Johnson won the election. The SNP got 55 seats. The Tories got a whopping 365.
Boris will rightfully refuse permission for another independence referendum. By Sturgeon's logic each SNP GE victory delievers a fresh mandate for an independence referendum. So a referendum every 5 years. Total nonsense. Referendums are generational.

All these anti-Tory posts are shocking. If you live in England and believe in democracy the Tories are the only party to vote for.
The alternative is a hard left socialist, Marxist disaster.
Free stuff for everyone. Free broadband. Free dental care. Free prescriptions. Free student tuition. Waspis, here have £58billion we found lying around. More money for everything. Hundreds of billions to renationalise services in a time warp back to the 70's. It's total crap that nobody believes is credible or will work.

More believable than those ridiculous Labour politicians who even now can't acknowledge why they are such an unmitigated disaster.

How arrogant and deluded can a party leadership be? I think we've just found out

Ginger-none of them are believable. Very few politicians are credible. Political debates are tedious on here, and I’ve defended everyone’s right to follow whatever party they want.

Political point scoring is so childish. I’d rather they spoke honestly about what they’ve done and what they’ve failed at than anything else. I genuinely can’t believe though that Johnson is our PM. He’s a figure of fun. Tories in power to an extent I can understand-Johnston leading the country I can’t.
