Leicester v Norwich Pre-Match

Leo scored some big goals for us that season. Norwich, Swansea, West Ham - all key matches to our progress. I still remember Norwich looking utterly deflated at that goal, much like Yeovil had two years earlier. Sometimes a goal just kills a team, like they know they’re getting relegated.

I can’t see beyond the same ultimate fate for Norwich this season, regardless of what happens at the weekend. But I do expect them to put up a darned good fight.

When you say Norwich, it gives me the Meh!

I'd say (as all pundits do), not meaning to be disrespectful to Norwich but they're a bit...er... meh!

I don't actually like the word meh, I don't even know if it's a word or not, so that probably sums it all up really...

If I was to make a comparison I would probably bracket them in the West Brom, Middlesbrough type of club bracket type thing bracket close bracket. You know, the club that gets promoted to the Premier League (Again) and you're like; "Oh, Great to see them back in the Premier League again! Remember that fixture back in the day where we won...,, or did we lose... CAN'T REMEMBER! "

No disrespect, of course, I'm on my high horse.

Someone I can relate to somewhat though. Delia Smith, now she's game for a laugh and love the attitude.

LETS BE 'AVIN YOU (Barstools)

I was going to say the same thing. Most of my life supporting Leicester we’ve been a bit “meh” to many fans. We’re only beginning to stir up emotions more recently because we’ve had the audacity to challenge the established big six.

This is the first game this season where I've thought we're going to smash them. I see us scoring at least three.

I'm going for 6. Maybe concede 1. 6-1

Cue us losing a drab game to a goal off Pukki's backside in the 95th minute sparking celebrations on Murkeyside.

I am just thoroughly enjoying this season, we're only two points off target at the moment!

All this confidence is making me nervous, so I’m going to go with a prediction of a scrappy 1-0 win with a Iheanacho scuffing it the winner in the 89th minute.

A beautiful symmetry with our title winning year....

With regards to formation, I would actually suggest this isn’t a bad game to continue practising the diamond rather than getting torn a new one using it against Liverpool or Man City!

I know what the bookies want as I imagine just about every punter in the land has this in their Acca this weekend.

I think this will be a controlled 2-0 rather than a smashing.

They have a threat up front in Pukki but these just cannot defend, as above I expect us to win comfortably.

It certainly feels like one we should be winning; on paper we won't have an easier PL fixture all season. Although I dare say Man City thought that too.

I was hoping, optimistically, for 13 points from this and our previous 4 games, given the opposition. To get the full 15 from them going into Man City and Liverpool back-to-back in the league would be a tremendous achievement.

Bloody hell.

Will you all stop being so confident? We are starting to sound entitled.

Can we please just predict am edgy 1 - 1 draw or even close defeat. We are Leicester City remember.

I daren't start predicting comfortable wins or we will certainly lose.

Remember our motto - hope for the best, but expect the worst.

The Norwich game in the 2015/16 season came when opposition teams had started to work out how to play us. They stayed compact and denied us space. We edged a few games 1-0 in the run in due to teams taking that approach against us.

I think after us winning the last 8 they will approach this game the same way. The good news is that we keep and recycle possession a lot better than we did in 2016. Hopefully our creative players will open them up, but we may have to be patient.

Their strength, however, appears to be attack. What we don’t want to do is concede first and give them something to defend.

I’m sure BR has a plan.

And FFS,

I’m still in your mentality and my mind is insisting that I look at all the things that could possibly go wrong. In fact my first thought was: “if we win this one I think we’re safe this season”.

And just in case anybody was starting to feel confident:

Lawro has predicted that we will win!

Joby. I am going to go out on a limb and say we will not lose this year!

Yes I know whom we have to play but I think ( oh by the way it is 2-20am here Florida right now?)

We may draw at City but we will Bea t Liverpool!

Bed time......

I think we'll beat Liverpool too. Its the timing of that match, it couldnt be better for us

It's not being entitled to think we will beat Norwich at home especially in our current form. Lets have some confidence lads!

posted on 13/12/19

All right that's enough, pack it in now lads, beat Liverpool?

You're starting to sound like those deluded Forest fans that think they are still a big club! Honestly!

----------------------------------------------------------------------Behave - talking about being 'entitled' to beat Norwich is of course taking the first big step to losing/drawing tomorrow, I sincerely hope that Brendan and the lads are not falling into the same trap.
