Agreed Process. I think Ole is giving the young players exactly what they need in terms of games at the right time. And they are playing with confidence, and that's down to Ole and themselves.

Was about to one-star this for the title, then realised it wasn’t a politics thread.

On a serious note, I was in the Stretford End tonight and, after a drab first 45 minutes, there was a real sense of exuberance for most of that second half. The crowd just seemed to know Greenwood was going to score both times, though neither were exactly easy chances.

Good to see a bit of arrogance from Pereira after the break too. Amazing feet for the first goal and he wanted that penalty. I’ve always said his biggest failing was that he doesn’t assert himself enough in games but there were signs of him doing so tonight.

Eriksen is 27,going to be 28 in February. He isn't exactly old. Should be the prime of his career right now. But he's form has been in the decline for a few months. Form or permanent?

Meant to add that he's only a year older than Fred and Maguire (who will be 27 in March).

I think Eriksen will be a good signing for whoever gets him but it should be in the summer. If he picks us then he wants to be here and will be committed to the cause... If not there are other fish in the sea.

I think Eriksen might be better off elsewhere. I think he's done with this league.

He might be better off elsewhere but he'd still be one of the best playmakers in this league if he stayed. We won't do much better than him for that position...

He's been quite poor for a few months. If his head isn't in it, there is no point pursuing him.

Gomes and Chong aren't ready, and in Gomes case I think the league at this stage isn't perfect for him. French or German league would be better for his development.

Kai Havertz is someone I touted and I think he can play that role for us better than any options we have now. He is also quite young so he still has a lot of developing to do.

Just read that this weekend will mark the 4,000th consecutive football match in a row that we've had a product of our youth team in the squad, which is nice.

I'm excited with some of the youngsters we have too which is why I think we could do with one or two players in the prime of their careers. Even the Class of 92 had Schmeichel, Bruce, Pallister, Irwin, Keane, Cantona and Cole to guide them (amongst others). We need a mix IMO.

One complaint many of us had with Ole was his formation and a perceived lack of tactics. In the past week he's shown that this formation can work - is flexible, and his tactics beat a couple of clubs that had superior squads. The players are starting to work well in this system, and we know who and what Ole wants. Despair changed to hope in a span of 8 days.

Yes, it is a good spell. We really need to build on this now. If we can carry on with this momentum into the January window, then sign a couple of players, the second half of the season will be interesting.

And here was me thinking that we were going to see a new improved RDD. I thought they were going to rebuild him. Thicker, slower, weaker.

Ray, I'd say that when we had our injuries we were limited in what he could do. He's shown that he is quite tactically astute and he learns from others as well as from the mistakes he makes. The way we played against Spurs and City is where we can see his tactics in play.

Though it's easier to prepare and analyse for these games. We still lack something against the smaller teams. I think we are missing that bit of creativity from the middle that we need to unlock them. But he's shown he knows what he is doing. He's not as incompetent as some believe him to be. And some of our fans keep chasing the flavour of the month type manager whenever we've hit any bumps in the road.
