Exactly and in fairness to Lingard it’s very hard to question his commitment.
I wouldn’t have him in our best XI but he can have a role to play.
Read this last night... Pretty open about stuff in the summer and Ole hammering him for it too
I like Jesse tbh, think he cops more flak than he deserves at times.
His form always tends to pick up around the winter for some reason.
Must have been tough for him, he is a different generation from me and at times I certainly felt he should stop doing some of the stuff he did at times but much respect him stepping up when he did
Who knew that Rosso has been ill.

That's in poor taste.
In this fishbowl life, it's never easy. But credit to Lingard, aside from him being open about it he's just another same human being with family duties and love.
And he's been repaying some us back with some good form lately.
Maybe i have been a little too harsh on him during his drop in form spell. My bad. Apologies mate.
Family first always, that said, looks like Ole handled the situation well, supported him when needed but called him out when needed too.
Reminds me of a previous manager
Good to see empathy and understanding from the fans

I agree Redas, poor taste indeed. Sure it was French who mothered Lingard
For those who don't know, he's had to take care lf his two siblings whilst his mother is too ill to do so, i think one isn't even teenage age.
His grandmother is also seriously ill and he has a daughter of his own.
His grandad has cancer too.

Poor taste but that’s comedy, decent effort tbf.
Hope Lingrard feels better for speaking about it all with the manager, just talking about these kinds of things and knowing you can talk to your bosses etc can help a lot to lift the pressure.
Get a grip lads. It wasn’t poor taste.
You guys are too easily offended.
