I think we should go for Werner in the summer. Can't see him leaving RB Leipzig in January. But we need a backup CB or DM now. Can't rely on injury prone Matip and Lovren. Gomez and Henderson partneship was a bad idea yesterday

In your opinion, do we go for a starter at CB or a squad player? I think we should go for a starter because as you've highlighted, the other three are injury prone up to now. I live Matip and Gomez, but if they're unable to stay fit for a season them we need to consider a more solid option. This is where I feel Klopp is too loyal to some players, like Lallana for example, who I hope is leaving in the summer as I feel his time is up.

It wasn't a bad idea was it. It was last resort with vvd being put. If wij was fit, he'd come in at CB and Fabinho was outstanding there last season. When you have 3 regular CBs out, and two midfielders who would slot in there if needed, there isn't much you can do.

I would like Gomez to be given more chances to start along side VVD. He needs more regular games. He's not been in good form this season but was very good at the start of last season. Matip has been excellent but he goes out injured twice every year for long time. Lovren too. So may be it's better to get an experienced backup CB now or even DM who could play as CB.

Henderson was caught in possession 6 or 7 times. Gomes too. I think Milner or even TAA would have been a better option than Henderson. Both played there before but it was the first time for Henderson

Keita & Minamino offer us something different when brraking teams down and in terms of attacking skill. They're still strong however in terms of pressing, tCtical awareness, defending and ball recovery.

This team is always transitiining and reinventing itself, it's a great time to be a liverpool fan, we're watching the cutting edge of elite modern football right now.

We shouldn’t need a centre back when we have 4 but I said in summer that Lovren is either injured or gets these weird illnesses too often. I know he stepped up this season but he’s not reliable and neither is Matip but I’d take him over Lovren all day long

I found a Liverpool bar in Koh Lanta last night to watch the game and they had Minamino’s name on the back of a shirt on the wall. Great signing and Edwards is working miracles again.

I agree, if he can stay fit and there in lies the problem, Joe has yet to prove he can. I really hope he does because like you say, he was looking great with VVD at the start of last season.

I like lovren but I think it is time we sold him for another cb. Nothing personal but I think our of him and matip he is the older players both are injury prone. Added with gomez injury struggle we need some more reliable back up.

Great signing, especially at that price.

I hope we do bring a centre back in January. Any further injuries or suspensions would leave us with big problems in this position.

Look there's times for change and there's times to get on with it.

Once the transfer windows are shut you have to just get on with it.

We started with 4 CBs and 6 or 7 CMS this august

We currently (for a few weeks max) have Lovren, matip, fabinho and wijanldum out.

We played milner at RB.
We played henderson at LCB
We played lallana at no 6.
We played origi at LW (who wasn't bothered)
we played ox at no 8
we played keita as well

apparently we played a full strength team v monteray. hilarious.

We actually rested TAA, Firmino, mane and didn't risk VVD. so just the 4 rested prior to discussining injuries too

we did just enough to get by last night. just barely.

He is not the Asian Kuyt. Completely different players.

look your point is fine, Woodward was a non football man sticking his beak into footballing matters and had final say on money.

Edwards is a technical director who doesn't have final say. it's all a long term view and klopp has final say. Edward's does his job, Mike Gordon does his job and the scouts do theirs. all pull in the one direction.

a million miles from Rodgers v ayre v whoever.

its vitally important to realise the role of everyone but also how klopp is the apex in the end. not by any structure but by divine right and charisma

we just don't get the call wrong because he wants the player. if he wants them they get chances
