We'll look at CMs in Jan I'm sure - not doing so would be insanity - but I'd be fairly confident it wont be Fernandes
-----------------------------------------
The most likely candidates seem to be Longstaff, Can and Rice as far as the deeper midfield positions go anyway.
No wonder why I have no faith in our scouting and recruitment if this is the best they can come up with.
We're on the right path? I'm not convinced in the slightest.
What, Rosso lives in Portugal? He kept that one quiet.
If he says anything on the topic, we can legitimately say "sources in Portugal commented..."

Me too, so job done I suppose.

The article also confirms that we’re getting Dembele.
On a serious note, this bit did stand out:
‘Though the Manchester Evening News now claim that there is a “high possibility” that there will be no new arrivals at Old Trafford.’

That'll be an absolute disgrace

The manager is under pressure, would be stupid to sign more of his players when it looks unlikely he will see the season out.

What? We are in 5th spot, despite having no creativity in midfield. Surely you back the manager and give him some creativity and give him a chance of making the top 4?

Riola is right with everything he’s said and uniteds reputation is severely damaged. We are not attracted to even teenagers anymore. I’d seriously surprised if we sign anyone half decent. Been saying this for time, the club needs a whole new structure, ceo and ownership and of course manager to even begin to be able to dream
Of a title challenge

You have 2 midfielders that cost 150m between them in Pogba and Fred. If Ole can't get creativity out of those options then he should have identified that in the fooking summer surely
His signings so far have been no better than average and still nowhere near enough improvement either individually or collectively for me to think United are on the way back. Miles away and the longer Ole stays the longer it will take imo.
Who'd have thought supporting United could be such a chore.
We all know we should be better than we are but I'm sure most of us all accept too that sometimes these things take time.
Looking at the history of English football it's really only been from the 70s onwards where there has been two sustained periods of dominance. Before then the trophies were shared a bit more evenly.
The only thing I'd like to see is some more entertainment but I say that with the realisation that we probably don't have the exact right personnel to be as creative as we'd like at the moment. That's why I'm still backing Ole for now. If he fails to address that then I will have no defence.
Want Fernandes , we’ll get Longstaff đ

Apparently Fernandes’ brother is his agent and handled the potential moves this past summer badly. Hope he’s better advised now. Or that he doesn’t end up going to Spurs
