Things certainly are looking good. The BR appointment has surpassed all of my expectations. Who of us would have believed that, after the 2016 season, we would actually be doing it again? (apart from Liverpool standing in our way, of course).

BR certainly deserves credit for the way he’s picked the squad back up from the Liverpool and Man City games. Interestingly, we’ve not actually seen the ‘first’ team since then.

But what has become clear is that he’s getting real result from our squad and the best out of our key players.

For this he deserves a lot of credit.

In order to push on, I’d like to see us find ways of managing games better against the perceived bigger clubs.

Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs. These are the games I’m interested to see how he does now, but top 4 looks very very possible now, and that would be a magnificent achievement. Amazingly, we could actually amass more points than our title winning year.

Now to get through January without any big players leaving.

The club, manager & squad are doing great.
A decent 3 results after Liverpool with different teams put out.

Although Vardy wasn't involved he is very much integral to our immediate future.
The main concern currently must be at centre-back. I think we need a very decent centre-half in January, be it on loan or permanent.

Hope the squad keeps pushing each other forwards.

The management of the squad stands out. They were prepared with a couple of behind closed doors games and then trusted to compete in particular matches, as well as being rotated in at times and implemented in different tactics.

I do think we’ve been lucky as well though. West Ham we’re there for the taking, as were Wigan last night. But they were both taken successfully.

The big thing that stands out for me is the ethos and style of play. Whilst not always successful for the entirety of a match, for me, it is clear that the style of play has been deeply integrated within the squad rather than just the first team. And in nearly 30 years of watching Leicester, I don’t think I’ve seen this anywhere near as evident as this season. I completely appreciate comments about needing better quality within the squad to have a competitive ‘PL level squad’, but - and this is only my personal opinion, having a squad that can fluidly and interchangeable apply the same style of football is equally, if not more, important as ‘quality in depth’.

Ps - just a little bit of support for Albrighton - he has ALWAYS been a player who performs best through routine and regularity and has had to adapt to several new positions over the last two years. Whilst this evidences that he isn’t (now/ever) at the level of ‘TOP CLASS PL Player’ he has been absolutely magnificent for Leicester City. He also produced one stupendous cross which a lot of wingers would have just attempted to keep in play.

We are living in the best era of our clubs history, we are second in a season where Liverpool are 4 points better off than they were last season (I think :/ ) and this season, arguably more than our title winning year, provides proof that we aren’t top 4 ‘because everyone else is poor’ and have produced a CL league positional team and then 3 years later, have produced almost entirely different 11 who are competing to achieve exactly the same thing....in itself an incredible, possibly unrivalled achievement.

Yes, excellent pig stop and people have trotted out some good comments.

We’ve had some snorting results post Christmas and Brendan has really brought home the bacon with his use of the squad.

We’d be telling porkies if we said we’d always played well, but we’ve got the job done. Wrapping a few of them in blankets will stand is in good stead later, but now we must push on.

Totally agree. Absolutely fantastic season so far under Rodgers. What an opportunity we have to attract some top quality players in the summer, if we have secured Champions League football in addition to the completion of our new 100 million training ground complex which will be one of the best in Europe.
Incredibly exciting times to be a Leicester fan, what a future. Lets see what the new decade brings us.
