Podence fee couldn't be agreed upon.
Podence in Olympiacos squad for the game with AEK Sunday evening.

Oliveira also named in their squad for that match.

Wolves believed to be looking at another striker.

Same old, same old. We watch the sands of time slowly ebbing away.

As I posted at the start of the transfer window, don't leave it to the end, like we normally do.
Deja Vu.
All over again.

In disbelief that people have actually believed a post by Herb.

The deal for Podence looks like being confirmed for Monday or Tuesday. A deal has not yet been reached for Oliveira. We have offered £2m but his release clause is €5m and they are hanging on for that. Another striker evidently lined up if they don’t lower the price

Yeah, especially me as I always dismiss every bit of rubbish he writes. In my defence I'm physically and mentally knackered and have only one thing on my mind at the moment.

Errr..No. My yacht is washed up on the beach and I busy exploring options to get her back in the water. The local council are lurking like feckin vultures. They are dreaming up ways of exploiting all the poor saps who have their pride and joy high and dry after storm Gloria. Rumour has it that they will give us all a deadline to remove our boat from 'their' beach otherwise they will shift them and if you want them back it will cost you 1,000 euros per metre of length. So sympathetic the Mallorquins

Good luck with that gem, sounds like you need another storm to get floating again

Amazing stuff from Shrewsbury today with Dave Edwards, Scott Golborne and Ethan Ebanks Landell helping to peg back the World champions

That's the best excuse I've ever heard.
You are excused.
Best of luck with the boat hope you are shipshape ASAP.

PS. I love Mallorca and especially Polensa.

Bloody hell, an enterprising bunch of b'stards.

Hearing this morning that Klippety Klopp is insisting he's giving his first team a rest when they should be playing Shrewsbury in the replay and going to let the u23s and their coach take them on. I'll be surprised if he's allowed to get away with that, but then it's Liverpool.

Also read contrasting reports on the Podence transfer some saying it will be wrapped up today, some saying talks have broken down. The Oliveira rumours seem to have cooled too.

You get the impression that Wolves are trying to prove themselves tough negotiators in the market who are prepared to walk away from the table. Negotiation is a two way thing however and we will need to move our stance a little if we are to bring players before the looming deadline.

FA should take a tough stance. A 30 point deduction should be sufficient.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. If all goes to plan the boat will be lifted off the beach on Wednesday morning.

From the E&S this morning

Wolves are working to secure Daniel Podence as their first major signing of the January transfer window in the next few days.

The Portuguese winger was last night withdrawn from the Olympiakos squad for their clash with rivals AEK Athens ahead of a possible move worth a reported £19million.
The 24-year-old, who was at the Greek derby, has been linked with a potential four-and-a-half year deal at Molineux.

Fellow target Nelson Oliveria was in action in the game, coming on as a first-half substitute for AEK in the goalless draw.

The former Norwich City striker, 28, is understood to remain a target despite his involvement in last night’s match. So far in the window, Wolves have added PSV Eindhoven defender Nigel Lonwijk, Barcelona SC attacker Leonardo Campana and Den Bosch midfielder Justin Hubner to their ranks.

But as the young trio prepare to link-up with the academy, Wolves legend Steve Bull is eager to see more signings to aid Wolves’ battle in the Premier League and Europa League before the window shuts on Friday.

Looks like Podence will be confirmed tomorrow. Still negotiating on Oliveira but evidently we have someone else lined up if a fee can’t be agreed.

No sign of any other signings on the way. Would have liked us to bring on a right sided centre back and another option for our midfield. But looks like those might have to wait until the summer

Mgw 20 years old today. Time for him to start making more of an impact when he gets his first team chances

Reading that Ryan Giles was disappointed to miss the Shrews game yesterday but excited to be in the Wolves first team squad. Biggest problem he has is being given the role of marking Traore in training

Chinese economy set to tank as Beijing now put on lockdown. Millions cannot work, industry at a standstill, up to 200,000 infected - despite what your lying left wing media tells you is happening.

That bio-lab owned by Gates in Wuhan ran a coronavirus outbreak emergency dry run exercise only last month. But that's digression. The fact is, Wolves will be spending no great amount of money either this window or in the summer.

China are in a war.
