Is this genuine. The guy I saw tweeting this didn't have many followers and has only tweeted 13 times.
I'd be pretty happy if it was true. Given he's a creative, attacking player. I don't expect it to happen though. Ed knows better
We'll just have to wait and see. This does seem more promising than the usual rumours though.
Probably be Monday before an announcement is made if there's anything in this.

I do hope it happens though... good player in an area we need and will hopefully bring a feel good factor back to the club and maybe even on here!

That is almost literally what Sporting would realistically have said when hearing the terms of the prospective transfer.
Gomes has only 6 months left on his contract so it is highly unlikely we have offered an 18 month loan deal. Doesn't even make sense.
I have heard the players on offer are Joel Perreira and Rojo.
As much as I would want for this to be true, reporting that Phil Jones will go the other way, is a no-brainer that this unfortunately is made up.
Nobody in England wanted this man last season, when it was obvious we'd pay his wages to get rid of him at Old Trafford

Sporting’s cb’s are a 36 year old Mathieu, Illori and Coates.
Phil Jones would be their best defender.
Rojo would make more sense. He has been pushing for a move since summer, is below Jones in the pecking order and used to play SL.
