We're clearly better but I just think that a few more months of Arteta and a better set up, they could get a result.

They might just be playing to inflict our first defeat - and they'd be gunning to stop us being invincible (no pun intended).

Centurions and Invincibles is my prediction.

City away is the only possible stumbling block.

Just need 12 wins and we can’t catch you
12 of those games are against teams outside top 6
Should do it comfortably

If We manage to get past Atletico in the CL then we could certainly see us have to think about resting players in the league, possibly dropping points, losing the odd game at the back end of the season.

The QFs of the CL start the midweek after we play city. Between now and then our fixtures look like :

Liverpool.

H Manchester Utd
A Wolves
A West Ham
H Southampton
A Norwich City
H West Ham
A Watford
H Bournemouth
A Everton
H Crystal Palace

City

H Palace
A Sheff U
A Spurs
H west Ham
A Leicester
H Arsenal
A Manu
H Burnley
A Chelsea

On paper, theirs looks much harder. I would say that the 14 point lead we presently have could definitely be bigger by then, especially considering we have that game in hand.

If we maintain our lead, I can see us rotating, using the squad depth and dropping a handful more points as we look to compete on both fronts.

I also would be none too surprised to see us draw City in the CL QF which would then see us play them 3 times in 10 days. It’s just the kind of thing football loves to do.

the issue could be that if we win the title with 4/5/6 games to go and we're still in the FA cup and champions league we could be doing some rotating.

100 points is the gold standard.
Only elite teams can achieve that feat.

CL semi finals is where its gets tricky. Think the legs are a week apart but we showed last season that we could cope. Klopp will always choose medals over records anyway but all the play for.

Personally not bothered about all these records. If we collapse and only get like 85 points but it still gets us over the line in 1st place I couldn't care less really. Winning the league is all that matters.

98 would be my prediction. Maybe a loss at the Etihad and one shock loss elsewhere. Possibly a few draws against opposition playing in their cup finals like United and Everton.

Was just about to say this!

Don’t care about getting 100 pts, don’t really care about being invincible “though it would be amazing”

The only thing I give a sh!te about is actually winning the fecking league.

I think we all agree on that. It was more a curiosity thing. Do you think, given our remaining fixtures that we could or will surpass the 100 point mark.

posted on 14/1/20

I don't really care about points tallys or going unbeaten, would much rather we win the league as early as possible and still be in the CL and FA Cup and have a right go at winning them too.

If we win our next 11 games we win the league at Etihad, whilst breaking the record for longest unbeaten run. That would be nice.
