I wonder if Liverpool fans would prefer going unbeaten or winning the CL

If that was a choice
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would take winning the league on goal difference, having lost 5 games, if we won the CL as well to be honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the correct answer IMO.

We're the most balanced side in Europe..hard to admit for everyone I know but it's the truth.

Not knocking them in any way but they’re just extremely efficient

When I think of great sides, although not a Prem side, I think of peps Barca, we just couldn’t get near them when we played them, footballing wise they were head and shoulders above us, don’t think this Liverpool team produces such good football as regularly, like I said, extremely efficient
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta and Messi.

Just unfair, will never forget that side

They deserve to go down as one of the best, just look at what they’re doing. And in Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, VVD, Fabinho, Mane and Salah they arguably have the best players in those positions in the world. On top of that, players such as Henderson, Firmino and Wijnaldum are massively underrated and have been superb for them.

Unfortunately, they’re a brilliant team managed by probably the best manager in the world and run very sensibly by a club who can identify players who can fit into a system and improve them.

By the way, once Liverpool win the title, they for me automatically without hesititaion go above the Arsenal in the pecking order.
Simply put, it would be hard to argue that we are not in the Era of a Liverpool dominance.
97 points and 1 defeat. C.L win. (2nd straight appearance mind), World Club Champs, and now Prem Champs, all in 2 seasons of football.

Arsenal never once had a Dominant period. Over that 8 year cycle, they were always in the shadow of UTD, now and again coming up for air, only to be pushed back down.

You have to give them (grits teeth!) credit for seemingly doing everything right these last five years or so. From the recruitment to the manager getting the best out of the players.

Said it before and I will say it again. This side is just benefiting from upheaval in the league and in Europe. I remember the sides that had Gerrard, Alonso, Torres et al in it. That was a much better side.

They are basically doing a Leicester and fair play to them for the achievement but I look at the side and apart from Mane, Salah and Van Dijk, there isn't a lot to shout about.

When sides like City, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are back firing again, you will see their inevitable drop to 4th to 6th place.

Klopp has done a superb job, you have to give it to him. To replicate what Ranieri did with Leicester is impressive.

Great side, but doesn’t compare to the 07/08 United side. The standard of the PL has dropped remarkably, but that’s not to take anything away from Liverpool at all.

United 07/08
United 98/99
Chelsea 04/05
City (forgot the year)

All better imo. Think of the quality sides those teams faced and beat to win the league. Liverpool probably rank top5 of greatest PL sides however.

Invincible Centurions and we're the best PL side ever...won't happen though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course your not. How does that compare to winning it 3 times in a row with treble in between? 🤦🏽‍♂️

Impossible to compare, based on what?
Points? Trophies? Style of play ?
What is for sure is Klopp is a great manager in charge of a great team.

Been watching the top flight of the English league for over 50 years now, and the old maxim of you can only do what you can do against the opposition in front of you has never been truer than in this season.

In a season where, for differing reasons, the rest of the league's major players have lost interest, or been poorly directed, and consequently no epl winning squad has been more able to benefit from a non-competetive league than this, very ordinary, liverpool squad.

The lesson provided by Leicester City recently (and united from the mid 90s) has been ignored by everyone except the current anfield directors.

The epl has provided many awesome squads that have had to fight very hard in the most competitive top flight league in the world. But this liverpool squad just isn't one of them, and that is not their fault (back to the old maxim raised at the onset)

Robb.... You keep telling us how we're having such a bad season and Ole out because other big clubs are having transitional periods and struggling etc and that's the only reason we're not midtable

If that's all true.... How do you equate Liverpool being one of the best title winners ever... Surely its tainted by your own argument? Seeing as everyone else is poor etc

Chill scousers... Not a criticism of you from me... You're a great side... Sadly

In a period of time when English clubs are dominating bother European competitions it makes wholly and utterly ridiculous to brand the league weak.

People will say anything won't they.

I'd place them somewhere between Wilkinson's Leeds and Graham's Arsenal

I won't, there are some great teams in it, so much so that the conversation will likely never happen.

Because last season they got 97 points as well so it’s not a fluke. They are taking on one of the greatest PL sides ever in City and from last season to this only losing one game and potentially getting as many as 200 points over two seasons shows an insane level that very few get to.

Regarding Ole and us, I’m just saying that Arsenal and Spurs have been poorer than usual which is why we’re in 5th. Not really something that would stop Liverpool winning the title if those two were better as I’m sure you could point to most title winning sides and see that it’s rare that the top 6 is all playing at a high level.

Shugsy, you’re reaching here

I’ve only ever said that had Spurs and Arsenal been better this season we’d have a harder time getting top 4 - which is an indisputable fact
