Laca just stands still. The left side were creating a lot of opportunities, but the lack of movement means we have to keep going back

I dont think we have looked as shattered as we did in the second half vs Chelsea. However, we look devoid of ideas. We dont force mistakes. We dont force yellow cards. Our wide men should be terrorizing teams into yellow cards which leads to the opponents having to change how they tackle or even team shape to double up on our players and leaving gaps elsewhere.

I think Torreira and Xhaka plus the way AMN drifts inside has solidified our MF. I think we control it from a defensive and neutral mindset...but going forward is where we look neutered

Ozil is not having a big enough influence on the game and Pepe for all his pace and tricks is not providing any end product. We're badly missing a Ramsey or a Santi who could just make something hapen. Laca is badly off form. Have to say we're not having much luck either .

The team has been on the decline since 2016 when Santi got injured

The MF has never been the same

OZIL is why we created so little today. Not the forwards he spent the whole game wrong footing or sending wide. Noticeably absent from Castor's criticism list.

As you've said before. But that's meaningless if you're now going to sit saying he must play calling him our best MF. There has been only downward progress from Ozil since those early days. Right now he's arguably our WORST MF (or definitely one of them). So no reason for you to change your tune.

Especially at a time when much more of this crap form he's a large part of the reason for and we'll be in real trouble.

I say it because we have the poorest MF we have had for a very very long time. Before we had Santi, Ramsey etc.

We have no other options at the moment

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

unfortunately this is the case. Ceballos had half a good game v Burnley . Was poor after that. Ozil was very poor today but it is a crime that we have no other creative players in our club . What do our coaches and youth scouts do all day ?

Says it all really.

Willock, Ceballos, Xhaka, Ozil, Torreira.

We have seen will lock get his chance, we have seen Torreira play there. However, Ozil is still thr better option.

Unfortunately most teams in the prem have better midfields than us

Why is Ceballos not getting minutes at AM? Ozil was having a quiet game, I'd have thrown Ceballos on for 15 mins. He also has energy so it's not like we'd see a drop in pressing etc.

Santi...yes. Ramsey...no. I feel like we let nostalgia cloud our vision regarding Ramsey. He had a 6 month purple patch but never kicked on from there. Yes he was a scoring midfielder but often left massive gaps behind him when attempting to go forward. He also had a poor fitness record. What we need is definitely a box to box mf who scores, but we also need better than Ramsey

Would have taken Ramsey goals for not tracking back. He was our player of the season the season before his last

Another mediocre display by the Gunners. Xhake, Ozil, Luiz should be sent packing ASAP! Pepe was invisible for most of the game. The passing skills of this team are abysmal and once again Leno was a nightmare in dealing with high balls on corner kicks!

Only encouraging thing is that the Arsenal fans that showed up today were very supportive.

Ceballos has barely had a look in. He's hardly been given a run of games and he certainly hasn't had the benefit of playing in front of the more stable Arteta MF. Given the fact that Ozil has been sh!t game after game for years. But most importantly is still being sh!t now, then there's a more than fair case to say take Ozil out and give Ceballos a run.

He can't do any worse going forward, since Ozil has produced nothing. And a small bonus is he's way better at pressing and stealing a ball than Ozil and ten times as willing. Worst case scenario we get the same lack of service from Ceballos (which I doubt) but gain a defensive upgrade in the opposition half.

The LAST thing we need right now is to not give this kid a fair shot, to keep playing a washed up Ozil. Only to see him return to Real or go on loan elsewhere, get a fair run and light up the league. Dude's already cost us untold money and the CL last season. No way should we risk losing a potential superstar...because instead of giving the kid a real go. We sat holding our d!cks, p!ssing points away and flirting with a relegation battle, waiting for bloody Ozil to be good again. We've all seen more than enough of Ozil to know what he's about nowadays. So I simply don't get why any Arsenal fan, would be willing to see our season and potentially PL status risked on a bet that Mesut Ozil will step up.

THAT'S AN INSANE BET! I hope to god Arteta figures that out soon even if fans can't
