Think the club have lost it. We now need 4 players signed in 10 days or season is over. We're throwing it away, big time. Tonight's game wouldn't have looked out of place on BBC1 at 8PM, it was a fooking soap opera.
Should have a pen after 2 mins
Handball by suprise suprise Nahki Wells for goal
Bamford being Bamford
Dive to win a penalty and then miss it
Then ...... well knew what was going to happen...... Yep, A Kalvin red card.
The only thing missing was a Cooper or Bamford injury
Can’t disagree with much of that. Bamford is feeding off scraps but his finishing and decision making is woeful. I hear we’re planning to shell out 20 odd million for Costa and Harrison, neither of whom can cross a ball past the first defender! Madness!
Sorry, I said it a week or so a go, the team is still traumatised from last season and its paralysing them.
You see it in Bielsa's presser and today. You see it in Orta's head in hands, you see it in Hernandez (ironically labelled as calm) slapping ground, whining at ref etc etc, you see it in the Philips challenge straight out of Berardi's play off one.
Genuinely worried.
Bielsa asked about lack of options on bench bigging up Stevens good contribution for 3 minutes is a sad sum up of where we are.
Cannot help but feel between Radz Orta and Bielsa therr needs to be a serious smashing of heads.
I am sick of hearing about 16 year olds being signed for the u23. Its doing nothing because when they (rarely) do get a chance...None of them do anything.
Bielsa needs to up his squad numbers. We have the same 3 players injured every week so his process isn't clear.
Radz looks skint. Now is his time to prove otherwise.
Adams would be a great signing but the more I think of it the more it feels like the club needs an experienced head. Our spine this season has Casilla White Phillips Pablo and Bamford
Casilla has been flappy for over a month, White offbthe boil a bit, KP lost his head today, Pablo has been injured and Bamford is what he is.
Cooper aside, we lack leaders and ones who have done this before. A Glenn Murray, a good finisher who has won promotion and is a jokey figure for example would be good for the squad to ease pressure on the youngsters.
I always feel the true judgement of a player is when the chips are down. Who stands up to bw counted. Very few did today...Maybe Ayling... Says it all.
Klich was shocking again. He is anonymous and has been for far too long now.
As Jimmy said, it's not that difficult to improve the squad, the problem is the appetite from the club to do so.
because when we go behind we never look like we will turn it round
----
This.
It was a ridiculous goal to concede, blatant handball. But we had the opportunities to win that game despite that but our lack of quality in the final third killed us. As soon as they scored, it felt like a loss, just didn't see us getting 2 goals.
Our approach play is brilliant, the passing, movement, interchanging of positions is really top class. QPR couldn't deal with that and we got in down the right so many times with Ayling, Costa and Pablo. But then the final ball was either poor or when it was good, the finishing was poor.
Lack of goalscorers in the team is killing us.
Can anyone remember when a keeper has to make a really good save against.
We get in great positions but the final ball is nearly always wrong, slightly infront or slightly behind or over hit.
Aloski second half just summed it up, got all the time in the world, in acres of space and all he has to do his hit it across goal and it be a tap in.
What happens ????
He fooking half slips and the ball bobbles five yards to no one.
Too many players just haven’t the quality, final ball and finishing are the really difficult part of football. Separates the good from the really good. Can’t teach it.
Also think manager poor communication skills and quite aloof demeanour doesn’t help when you end up in a run like this.
We've been dominating every stat there is except the results one for 18 months now. I would happily abandon the current style of pretty football with paper thin gazelles with no end product for a more direct approach. Let's get a few experienced brick s**houses in who will terrify & bully the opposition. It can't be any less effective than what we're putting up with week after week. The current model isn't working anywhere near well enough. We need 50,000 chances to score a goal. We're carp at corners & set-pieces. We're poor where it matters but hey, we look good in possession. Thin squad flogged into the ground long before the season ends & all we do is sign up snotty-nosed kids on long term deals. We don't seem capable of doing sensible transfer business to save our life. We're into the last 2 weeks of the window & Bielsa says there's no news on incoming transfers. Appalling incompetence on the part of the owners coupled with Bielsa's maverick but limited approach to his brief to get us promoted is going to cost us just that. They are all in a hole & clueless how to get out of it.
Reinforcements in attack midfield defence and goalkeeping were needed this summer. Club papered over the cracks with White, Harrison, Messlier and Eddie on loan plus Clarke and Costa.
we all said at the time the squad was still a couple of senior players short but no worry the club will rectify this in January.
Then when Clarke and Eddie went back we are now 4 players short but at least the club will act on this and bring 4 new players in and we'll do our business early and not make the same mistakes as last season.
Into the last 10 days or so before the window closes, no players signed. 6 points from the last 7 games.
Players are knackered and the club go from 10 points ahead of 3rd to 4 points and potentially 2 points if Forest win their games in hand.
I hope the 3 wise men in charge read this forum and look at themselves and the stress they are putting the fans through and finally get some effing new players in next week so they can bed in and make a difference against Millwall.
Hard to hear the comments but they are true. The combination of the shortsighted transfer dealings and an inability to recognise the areas that needed strengthening and Bielsa's reticence to change and adapt on some areas is a dangerous combination.
They are all in a hole & clueless how to get out of it.
------
Possibly because they have zero experience of getting out of it.
AR has no clue how to run a club, Kinnear never been in this position, always easy life in Prem.
Orta never delivered success at Boro.
Bielsa renowned for falling at final hurdle.
Some mixed messages on this thread... we never create chances... bamford keeps missing them. Which is it? Bit of both... We don’t create enough clear chances for the positions we get in... but we still create enough to win these games... but don’t take them. And we should have won today. How many times do we look at games and think that.
Spot on with that post Jonty.
Eddie, Bamford isnt feeding off scraps mate. He missed a penalty which is unforgivable for the bloke paid to score. And should've used a deft touch to lob the keeper on his clear cut chance. Goalkeeper off his line and Bam Bam lumps it. Same old story with him. Never been a finisher. Runs around a lot though.

Fek off batty man, you can’t say bamford runs around a lot without mentioning that he holds the ball up well
" never looked like scoring " ?
Thought we were gonna score when Bamford took his run-up for the penalty .. ... ..

It's a really hard listen with Flores translating, but all the players playing well, bring Stephens on with 3 mins to go because he can unbalance the opponents is just really poor, if he could unbalance the opponents then bring him on earlier.
Bring in a player same level as Nketiah/Bamford or better than them.
And so here it is, Bielsa putting pressure on the club in public - here is what we need and the club either deliver (great) or they don't and then internal blame happens (you shouldn't have said that, well you shouldn't have promised me this then etc).
