Gonna be a tough watch for us I fear

2-1 UTD.
These games aren’t about form, but who turns up on the day. Who wants it more.

It’s game day. I’m in full warrior mode! Game face is on!
Right now I’m kicking ass on Apex Legends and typing reckless on here!
At this time, I cannot be reasonable.
I cannot be humble. Leaving the head at home, it’s all about Heart.
Execute order 66 dammit!
We coming to lay the smack down on their Candy asses!

I’m not making any predictions

Just hope the game isn’t decided by a controversial decision

Think we'll destroy them.
4 nil.

Or maybe draw with them.
1 all.

We ended Arsenal's unbeaten run, now to do the same to Lfc. Someone has to do it.

It has been a while since the dips turned us over by a fair few goals.

I think they will today. We have too many players out injured.

Liverpool no doubt, awesome team. But I gotta believe they will lose discipline if the game is close.
We gotta keep it close. Frustrate them.
Fans will get on them.
Of course it can badly go the other way, and we’ve been smashed before.

And there is the obvious flaw. I believe Pool will try with TAA to harass Williams and our left side.
If Williams is not supported, I can see McGuire getting pulled out of position as a result, especially with Firmino’s play. And well, that’s just problems all day long.

Our attacks have to be swift, passing on point, cos they will press us. Like I said, I hope arrogance gets in their way, as they try to suffocate us.
Then we can hit them.

But they had better show up and play hard. Even if the score is going against us. Go at them 100.

I think it could be a 3-0 drubbing, sadly.

I've gone for 3-1 Winston. I fancy Greenwood to say hello to the kop if we can give him one chance.

A loss is deffo expected and would be no huge surprise

But given that games against each other are always usually tight and Liverpool have struggled to batter many sides this season I think a loss by 2/3 would be embarrassing for us. A one goal loss for us is par

A loss by 2 would be embarrassing for us? With our best three players this season out injured, away to the team that has won 20/21 gamed, thrashed Leicester away, comfortably beat City by two goals in October? Is this how you'd frame the match if it was under a manager you supported?

You can get 250/1 on a 0-6 United win

You'd need to add a couple of zeros to get me even thinking about parting with a £1.

To be fair a two goal loss at Anfield got Jose sacked

But yeah. Maybe I was being harsh. I change it to a three goal loss. But a one goal loss would be embarrassing if we turned up and offered nothing. It really depends how we approach the game. I’m sure you agree

I think it will be a very comfortable win for Liverpool unfortunately.

It wasn't a 2-goal loss to Liverpool that got him sacked. It was the club being in freefall amid the antagonistic attitude Mourinho had shown since the summer. Moreover, while Liverpool were looking a very good side, they hadn't quite gone into that beast mode that has given them that aura of invincibility since 2019.

A three goal loss would be embarrassing as it always would be between the two clubs. As you know, form goes out the window

posted on 19/1/20

I fear we’ll get battered but pray we give it a real go.
Anything between the performance of the reverse fixture and the performance at the Etihad, and we have a real chance of winning, although extremely unlikely

posted on 19/1/20

I think when we’re playing a team who have only dropped two points all season, ‘form goes out of the window’ is a bit misguided to say the least.

Under Fergie we lost 1 - 4 at home while we were the better side. That was embarrassing, but these things can happen to the best.

When those two points were to us it shows that in football nothing is a foregone conclusion

The smart money is on a Liverpool win of course, but us long term United supporters have seen even our best United sides struggle against some shiiiit Liverpool ones

posted on 19/1/20

If we had a fully fit, primed Pogba, McT and Rashy, whilst not exactly confident I would give us a chance. We don't so I'm pessimistic.

I didn’t say it was a forgone conclusion.

I’m saying that you can’t dismiss form in Liverpool’s position.
