The ball was still travelling so no, he was jumping towards where he thought the ball would go - in doing so he jumped into De Gea.
And yes.
He was going for the ball and not jumping into De Gea. That was collateral. De Gea was also going for the ball so it was a coming together

Whether he intended to or not doesn't change that from being true.
Listen, I can accept that you view this differently. That was never the debate.
The debate was that anyone who views this as a foul must be biased, which is a moronic thing to say given that the VAR official is one of those people.

The point is to go for the ball so obviously the two players will never be at similar angles/ trajectories. This is not what determines a foul.
