She doesn't like period dramas either. I'd have to tell her it's a romcom, where you have people falling over banana skins, and cute kids playing up!
Just go on your own, its worth it. Didn't enjoy it as much as Saving Private Ryan but its very well done.
Story is decent, nothing amazing.
In terms of cinematics though its outstanding.

Agreed about Dunkirk, I mean it had some good moments but didn’t feel special.
Seen much better war movies and also much better Nolan movies.

If you only watch 20 minutes you don't have an opinion on a film.
the beach landing is by the best part of saving private ryan, the rest of the story is meh tbh
can always appreciate good cinematic work but that's about it with this really, the story was hardly original
