Could see rangers going in for Turnbull when he's back fit too because it would be seen as one over us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can't see them beating us in the fee and wages department.
If they win the league though they would probably be in a better position to make that signing.
Just need to take it a game at a time mate, Weds is the most difficult game out the lot before Ibrox imo. We'll be fine on the grass at Motherwell and we always seem to win at Pittodrie despite it being a bit of a worry going there.
Turnbull will be another year down on his deal at Motherwell too and with that injury to come back from I doubt it would still be £3m for him.
theres no way Turnbull is sitting in Celtic Park in a Celtic top agreed to sign and then going to Rangers
we'll have an agreement in place, he'll want to come to us

There is no two ways about it, Rangers are in the driving seat and the favourites for the title now.
We need to get back to the form we were in up to December as Rangers look capable of winning every game against the rest of the league home or away
Need to win all our games before Ibrox, simple as that. There will be dropped points from both though as the pressure mounts.
Livi and Hibs 5 points dropped after winning at Ibrox

Sure.......
Anyway, never quite got the gambling thing. will flutter away $2 for each race when I go to the dogs once a year, but that's it. As long as Uncle Ben has not bet on Hamilton then he should keep his job and get the help he has requested,

I was away at the time and watched that game on the iPhone by the pool.
There and then I thought "this could easily cost us the league"
Hope I'm wrong.
Sky bet to be fair are one of the better ones. I actually know the guy who manages it (sky don't actually own it anymore, sold it a few years ago but still in partnership)
They were one of the first to put in betting controls. If you start putting more into your account than normal your account gets suspended and you need to phone them.
No limited time offers or free bets that you have to gamble multiple times. Boosted odds are available right up till start time and free bets are exactly that.
Wasn't always that way though, don't know if you remember their slogan used to be it matters more when you have money on it.
They totally ditched that type of marketing after helping a few problem gamblers.
Good luck to the guy.
Not with more bets obviously.
As for Ian Black, our old pals at the SFA were doing us a favour by banning him.
But seriously, all the best to Rice. I hope he gets effective help because, if he can't get over his problem, I'm not sure he can work in football.
I think it's 50-50 tbh. We've got a trickier schedule before the split yes but points can and will be dropped when not expected either.
Simple thing is we need to go on a run of wins.....it was the exact same when we came back last Jan and won 8 in a row.....last min winners at Killie and Hearts and late goals at St Johnstone. Was an equally as tricky schedule we had.

Think Celtic still edge it in terms of experience and squad depth but really not much in it. Our squad is better than it was last season though that's for sure.
I think our first 11 is close but we just edge it.
We do absolutely have a title race though and I'm more confident than last season.

Not with William hill and Ladbrokes adverts everywhere he goes at work.
Don't know if you guys saw it but apparently the owners of Betfred also own the biggest gambling addiction recovery companies and make millions from it. Something seriously wrong their.
Believe they are also big Tory donors too
Reminder we had won 11 on the bounce in the league as well as a semi and final of a cup before losing that one game on the 29th Dec. I understand the worry of course but we need to chill out a bit man. We have a title race for sure this season but at this very stage last season it was the exact same. Time to go and win it

in no way was it the exact same.
We are a far stronger team than last year - different
the ball is in our court - win our game in hand and we are top (as things stand if we match celtics results we win) - different
Celtic dont seem to be as dominant at the back and going forward as last year - different.
Our Squad believe they can win the league, i dont think we did last year - different.
apart from them and other factors its exactly the same

Only difference is position slightly reversed. We have just come off a tough run and going into an easier one. We have the game in hand
the game in hand doesnt mean that much just now as it's after the next old firm game

Oddly enough man for man I'd still go with the majority of Celtic's players
However, Gerrard has you playing as a team, as a solid unit. That is far more important than individual battles as it means when a player is out the balance or impact of the team remains.
That is why I think you have the driving seat, we seem to struggle when Ely or Christie are off form and El hamed is out injured
Listen lads I was talking about the feeling in the Celtic support....it was exactly the same, everyone was worried, you had signed Defoe etc.
You are saying we weren't as dominant as last year..............we didn't win 4 league games on the bounce until February last season and regularly dropped points.
We have been extremely consistent this season....as have rangers but there's nothing we can do about it.
We are in a title race 100% but there's no denying it was the same feeling for us last January too. Rangers just bottled it in Jan/Feb when they came back so we'll see how it pans out this time.
if we both win every game until the next old firm and Rangers win that and then the game in hand the leagues over
How would it? that would be 4 points and we still have to play each other again.
If the situation was reversed there's no way I'd be saying the same.....I remember the whole of Parkhead in a panic last season when we were 8 points ahead with 5 games to go and drawing at home to Killie until Jozo scored late in 2nd half.
