I started off with 10 but couldn’t find 10 so had to settle for 7 😅

Wouldn't be bothered in the slightest with Llorente ffs, terrible option. Spurs resorted to playing wingers/attacking midfielders up front rather than use him from the start in games when Kane was injured he was that useless.

Gotze, is he a CF at all?

Don't know anything about Alcacer or Piatek, nor Jovic tbh apart from the hype before he signed for Madrid.

Cavani is quality and if he handled the PL and was actually motivated to do well for us, would easily be the best option off that list.

Giroud, decent option late in some games, would rather start Martial/Greenwood than him though. We aren't able to play to his strengths as we can't cross the ball to save our lives. Decent hold up play though.

Game time.

They signed Icardi, and have Mbappe and Neymar, and Di Maria.

Cavani would be great, but PSG won't give him away on loan. They're an injury to any of their front 3 away from needing him.

There was lots of noise about Dembele in this summer, maybe he'd be a good option as he would be useful long term and fits the player profile we're looking for?

Thought we should have gone for Jiminez in the summer, Wolves got him for only £30m.

Good strikers are hard to find, and with Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and James already at the club, with possible summer targets like Sancho, we may see no movement in Jan.

Cavani is deffo off as has handed in a transfer request

Chelsea want him - getting him for our own needs and also helping Chelsea not get top 4 can be a double reason for getting him

You expect Ed to get a deal done for a striker in 10 days

Cavani is the best option. Might be difficult if Chelsea want him though. Not sure what his family situation is, but if they are settled in Paris, he might prefer to be in London?

Chelsea will not give you Giroud if you are both fighting for top 4.

Just go get Kane

How about the striker at Inter who is doing really well at the moment? He has just gone to Serie A this season I think but is already scoring as many as Ronaldo. We should surely be looking at him? Would happily pay £90m for him.

Doubt we’ll sign a striker.

Jovic would be best

Been linked with Piatek this morning and I would back this signing all the way.

He was on fire last season for Genoa and Milan. Doesn't help that Milan are chit this year(yes worse than us). Still young and could develop.

Cavani or Piatek for me

Piatek needs service which you dont seem to provide very often

Madrid aren’t likely to loan out Jovic considering he’s their backup striker, and they’ve struggled for goals this season. Granted he’s one of the players that has struggled, he has the same amount of goals as Williams and Lindelof.

The whole ‘service’ thing is a bit overplayed

I agree it’s important but there have been quite a few times this season where the ball has gone in but as we don’t have a natural poacher up top there has been an empty 6 yard box.

And also, with Rash likely to kiss most of the season we deffo need a striker to replace what we don’t even have now. And with a lot of football to come I wouldn’t be surprised if Martial also picked up a knock and then we’re down to raiding the under 14s

Agreed. Apparently Barca want him but think he’s gonna be very good

Signing a striker doesn’t replace what Rashford gives us. Especially as Ole is intent on playing Martial through the middle. We need more creativity from wide as well as a striker.

True, but he’s also our main source of goals by far

So taking all those potential goals away from the next 3 months will hurt us massively in our search for CL football

Yeah I get that. I suppose, unless we find a more creative player for out wide, the solution would be to put Martial back on the left and get a striker.
