Henderson has had an excellent season and continues to perform a great job for Klopp.

But he's not a great player and Klopp could easily replace him, which couldn't be said for the likes of VVD, Mane, Salah and probably Firmino, TAA and Robertson.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you think it would be easy to replace Henderson it shows just how little you actually know about what he does for Liverpool

Caveman thinking from Strinston
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Great debating skills from the forum moron.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You’re the one making moronic statements. ‘Easily replace Henderson’ ‘probably not easy to replace TAA and Robertson’

😂 Honestly mate, take a year off the site, watch some football and get back to us.

It's not at all moronic - it's an opinion and one that I can give reasons for.

Coming here with no actual reasoning and just trying to dismiss it just about sums you up.

Now fack off and let the adults talk - I won't be entering a debate with the class clown.

You need to look in the mirror and realise you are the class clown. I’d love to see you debate your reasoning. But you won’t be able to because you’ll just get into a 200 page argument about anything but the actual reason why you think your crazy thoughts.

By all means, please tell us why you think Henderson would easily be replaced. Who would easily replace him?

Re Henderson

He’s a decent footballer who Klopp is squeezing every single ounce out of him he can, doubt he’d be on the shopping lists of Europe’s top clubs, but suits Klopp’s system

Robb, fack off.

Look at your first response.

You're not interested in understanding my view, you just want to dismiss it.

That's the reason these things end in stupid 200 page arguments.

Take a look at yourself and grow the feck up - I won't be replying to you again.

To be fair, I am with Winston here. I think that if Henderson was out for 6 months, Wij or Milner can come in and offer a lot of what Henderson does, granted not with the exact same skillset but certainly without impacting our tactics, how we play, and maybe not our results too much. You do that for a few other players in our team, like our full backs and VvD and it's another story.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's not a slight against Henderson - he's done a fantastic job of making himself a key member of the team.

But ultimately what he does is, in my view, something that can be more easily found in other people. As you say, his skillset... arguably more easily found, particularly in English football.

VVD, Salah etc. bring something to the team that I believe only a handful of players in the world can do.

Fair enough mate. I just think Henderson (and especially Firmino) are very underrated. Henderson won’t be player of the year but I don’t think it’s laughable that he’s in the conversation

Grealish or Ings
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ings is actually a decent shout, hope he gets a good go at Euro 2020 if Kane/Rashford are out

Henderson has been excellent in many games but he would need to replicate that across the season to be considered when up against De Bruyne, Aguero, Mane, Vardy and VVD who have been excellent nearly every game.

TAA a dark horse. The most assists in the league since last season and he's a full back. There's been a couple of games this season where he has been unstoppable. You'd think he would only improve on that consistency as he gets older.

Our midfield has a number of combinations that can and have got results against all teams. It is the one part of the team that can function in the same way with injuries.
Henderson has gone up a level since he has moved out of the holding role. People seeing that he does have more to his game than running a lot. Some of his passing this season has been outstanding.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His passing has always been outstanding, for me but this season his off the ball stuff has went up a level. The kind of stuff that goes unnoticed.

He’s the type of full back I wish we got rather than a guy like AWB who looks good when making sliding tackles but offers nothing going forward.

I understand the praise for Henderson, but there's a danger of overrating him too.

Ultimately, most players benefit from certain systems and the players around them.

I see a very different Henderson in an England shirt and that doesn't mean that he's a poor player by any stretch, but I think there are limitations to his game that don't get highlighted for Liverpool because the manager knows how to use him.

I'd say that is less the case for the real superstars of the team, who could most likely slot into a variety of teams and styles, and still be high quality.

There are two sides to this argument. What makes the best player in a team game? Somebody who is an excellent player, who can do everything, like a Gerrard or somebody who performs the role given excellently? For me it's the former, which is why I thought Carrick was overrated by United fans and it happens with Busquets for Barca too but they are a vital part to a team working.

There'sOnlyOneRed's (U1721)

Well to be fair, the argument isn't who is the best player really.

Both types of player are integral to success.

I just feel that one of those roles is easier to replace than another, which is what the clown above took issue with for some reason.

Virgil being overlooked because of the ridiculously high standards he has set for himself. He's been exceptional this season as well.

Mane, VVD, De Bruyne, Vardy & Aguero would probably be the top 5 for this season.

Special shoutout to players like Henderson, Ndidi, Mahrez, Ricardo Perreira, Adama Traore, Tammy Abraham and John Fleck

Trent YPOTY by a landslide.
