Jimenez is having a VERY good season. Enough for POTY? Nope but he's been really good every time I've seen him and his stats are quality this season too. All round play he's been better than Kane imo.

For me, my team of the season would be..
Allison
TAA VVD Soyuncu Robertson
KDB Henderson Grealish
Rashford Vardy Mane
Manager of the year - Wilder
Maybe Soyuncu is an iffy choice but can’t think of a clear second best CB. And am probably forgetting an obvious player or two
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evans for Soyuncu. Good team though.
Can't see past Klopp, I know he's top, with a great team but winning every game bar one, which was drew is crazy. He's also done it by rotating his squad, dealing with injuries etc.

Good shout. Chilwell too every time I have seen him although he had a bit of a mare against us.
Your keeper out on loan Henderson has had a good season it seems.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From the sounds of things on here it would seem a lot of United supporters want us to get rid of DDG now and being Henderson back.

No player has made more mistakes leading to goals than DDG since the start of last season apparently.
I thought he could have done better for both goals against us and tbh I'm not sure VVD fouled him either.

Yeah, going by the letter of the law the goal should have stood.
I’ve not rated DDG for years tbf. Obviously he’s probably (or at least was) the best shot stopper in the world but he is always so slow to come off his line, never seemed to organise his defence in the way Schmeikes did and he’s not very good at quick turnover - like when Allison got the ball to Salah at the end of the game. Can’t see DDG ever being that good.
Being the club we are though, we signed him to a bumper new deal even though these flaws are evident and no one else wanted him

I've said for a while I don't think DDG suits the modern game. He's an insanely good shot stopper when he is on it but the command of his box and ability with the ball are poor when compared to the likes of Allison and Ederson.

When I see him and AWB in our side I just think we’re miles away from playing the same type of football as Liverpool or even a City (two different types of football but both light years ahead of ours)
Yeah but you don't have to play that style. Atletico don't for example.
I see the AWB is the best rb in the league because I saw him three times for Palace last year and checked some stats type comments have died down.

True but I don’t think anyone wants us to play like Atletico
The modern game almost to a T has fullbacks who bomb forward and provide width that we just don’t have right now
DDG probably isn’t top of the pile any more but there aren’t many you’d want ahead of him. Alisson and Ederson, ter Stegen but beyond that I’m not so sure there are many better. Perhaps that speaks to a lack of top class keepers? Or my knowledge of keepers...
Think he probably needs a fresh challenge and a move tbh.

I reckon your younger fans just crave trophies tbh.
AWB would be fine if he had someone amazing in front of him because in the tackle he's very good and as such doesn't need much protection.
As it is though his inability in the final third is highlighted more.
De Gea is showing the same signs Reina showed with us being he got his wish to move on. He just doesn't care as much.
Wan-Bissaka has time on his side as well. Could even become a CB.
Cant see him at CB myself, I'm not sure he's great in the air or managing two channels. He is excellent at defending wide areas though. Could see him reaching Robb Jones levels though which is bad thing.
I quite like Henderson tbh.
Not a top class player but a player that every team needs and a player that United are massively missing.
A guy that puts in 200% effort, every facking match, is exactly what we are missing.
He is also pretty consistent and his long ball passing has improved a lot when I've seen him recently.
BUT, I think Mane at Liverpool is the dogs bolx.
which is no bad thing!
Jones
Weird one, Liverpool are far and away the best team, but statistically they're miles behind the best scorers. Raul Jiminez for example is one assist away from matching manes stats, Vardy has 6 goals more, even Rashford has more goals.
So then you'd probably give it to a defender, although i felt VVD was better last season.
As individuals, I'd say its between Vardy, KDB and Mane.
