With the points we’ve thrown away in 3 games

Millwall 93rd minute
Reading 98th minute
Reading 85th minute

Cost us 6 points - we’d be top of the league 🤬

Absolute crap 🤬

A point gained

It’s a sign this side isn’t ready to challenge to top 2. Dawson really needs to ready the team after we score.

Why are we so crap at just seeing a game like this out

That will come back to haunt us

Righto, see you all on Tuesday. Need a beer or two after that.

I’m with caniggia and sabri, point gained.

We played well, I’d say we’re were slightly the better side in a tight affair where both teams came out to play.

Grabban’s a goal closer to that elusive 20 mark.
We’re 4th, and only for the sake of Fulham having played a game early (which they also didn’t win against an arguably easier team), we’d be 3rd

And... that’s it for reading this season.

For context. 28 games into last season was MONs first game. From it we were left sitting in 12, 7 points behind Derby who were 6th.

Monkey, I hear what you say, but the facts will torture us

We can’t afford to think it’s OK we’re improving, the owner demands we get there immediately

I can’t believe he’ll be happy to miss out on promotion again, and whist we have improved since last season, I fear it’ll all be in vain

This is a poor league and it’s our best chance to go up

Chucking away crucial points will cost us dear - if we’d held onto the 3 games rather than giving away ridiculous goals in the last seconds, we’d be top if the league - and that will come back to haunt us I fear

Hey ho, we didn’t lose - we just need to make sure we give Brentford a good tonking next Tuesday

Baldock has 4 defenders around him with his back to goal and somehow gets a shot in that Samba should save. Very poor all round.

But let’s keep fighting as we’ve got tougher games coming up against some of the quality sides in this league.

I hear you Rev, but being pegged back 3 out of 16 leads isnt exactly a trend and i'm willing to bet we'd be in the top quarter for the holding onto leads stat. Which is impressive when considering we dont score than many.

People say its a poor league every season, and thats because people have way too high expectations of the quality automatic teams. Most come to the CG and look very average: Norwich, Sheff Utd, Middlesboro, Wolves, Bournemouth, Leicster, to name a few off the top of my head. Its consistentcy that matters and despite 5 out of 9 points in the last 3 we've played well in all 3.

Play like that against everyone in the league and we'd probably win 2 out of 3 games, and then your talking autos. Reading were very good, and even the best draw now and then.

Fair point monkey

posted on 23/1/20

It’ll be just gut wrenching to miss out on autos by 3 points and lose in the playoffs to the team who finish in 6th place 15 points behind us 🤢

When if we’d held on for the wins instead of draws would have got us over the line

I’d rather us finish in 12th position than go through the above scenario

It was the first time in ages, I walked away from a game last night and thought, wow we are building something good; and we are in with a fighting chance.
Really enjoyed the game, the equaliser was a sickener as it was preventable, but we controlled large parts against a very good Reading team.

There was a proper buzz about the game, we need more options from the bench as there is nothing that can change; the new chap with his pace is an option we will benefit from.

Exciting.

BBC live said it was a poor game. Lacklustre to be exact. But doesn't surprise me. Every time I've seen Forest this season they have been average at best. 👍

You do make me laugh Backwards.

Didn’t your lot lose 3-0 to Reading a few weeks back? If we’ve been average at best...what have Derby been?! 🤣

I’ll give you a clue. First word is Dog...second begins with s.

Enjoy the FA Cup. We’re concentrating on the league 👍

It's all relative I suppose, Backo. Sticking within spending limits, not cooking the books, etc. is not very exciting, but well, you know

Derby have been below par this season but I would suspect our below par season has been better than any of your last 7 seasons. I'm only telling the truth. I havent seen Forest play well this season. I'm.surprised you are in the top 6. But I think by the time you come to Pride Park stadium in April you wont be 👍

You've been a car crash on and off the pitch, Backo.

Oh and 'playing well' is kinda subjective, being 3rd/4th best in the league is objectively true.

As for April, I confidently predict that our respective teams will be pretty much where they are now, pending a points deduction.

Car Crash on and off the pitch? The only Car crash was the "Real" one.

No. You have played average. If truth be known every Forest fan is thinking "how the jock are we in the Top 6". Its about to change.

As for April...mine will be true. Yours will be nothing but a heart felt wish.

Backo, your not wrong, the difference this season is the entire division is ‘bang average’. There is NO stand out team, and we are just marginally better than some of the others. Everything is up for grabs, including at least one of the auto’s, whether we are good enough to get an auto/play off, only time will tell, but we have managed to get ourselves in with a shout. Can’t wait for April as the rivalry is always great and form book gets thrown out of the window. Hope we are both in good shape for that one and may the best team win, which will of course be Forest., hopefully. 😁👍

Not every Forest fan, although I see where your coming from.

I think we haven’t hit form yet. Away form has been strong and rarely do you get a visual treat in nicking an Away game 1-0.

At Home is where I think the problem was. Although I think we’re slowly turning the corner on that one and we’ll improve.

We have an extremely tough run of games in February, but then it eases up.

Having just looked at your fixtures. Wow. I don’t even know if you can stay up!? You’ve had a good run against lower opposition to lift you to 37 points. I don’t even think you’ll hit 55 tbh.

But Backo, you’ve been very civil. So hats off coming onto the Forest boards, when all the other Derby fans have been largely absent.

Cheers
