Of course they can win it. It's a cup competition. every dog can have its day and all that.

Now, the reality is, if you're using your head and using your eyeballs.
There's no way in hell a team in relegation form, which Arsenal are, can win Europa. Arsenal are a very dry team.

Guess that rules United out too .

It's confirmed

Yeah yeah, i get why you're in your feelings right now DJ.
One of your guys asks about the chances of Arsenal.
Didn't say anything about UTD.
You do realise we have won this competition very recently.
What you lot done, besides stink out the place.
But hey keep ripping on UTD to make yourself feel good. 'yay, oh yay, we beat UTD, we are better than them we are! yay!'

You 10th place bums

Final and semi final in last 2 seasons = "stink the place out". Okay. Natural progression says we will win it this year.

In 2 legged ties you dont have to win games, you just have to score more away goals. We can draw our way to glory.

Cos that's how that works right.
What you call progression, sounds a lot to me like choking, But ok, you run with that.
I thought cos you lot are so hellbent on wanting to be in C.L, because you believe its your place to rub shoulders with the Elite of Europe right.
The mighty Arsenal.
Yet now you talking about progression. In Europa.

And yes, Arsenal been stinking out the place well over a decade.

I can’t see any English teams winning it when the Scottish teams are still in there. The Scottish teams are playing in a far more competitive, physical league where they have to win every single week. They have a winning mentality going into every match. They have to play their strongest team in every competition such is the expectation to win.

The English teams such as Man Utd, Arsenal and Wolves can lose half of their games in the league and no one cares. They play their reserves in the cups so they can try and be eliminated. That’s the lack of expectation and ambition associated with these clubs. Draws and narrow defeats just don’t cut it in the Europa League I’m afraid.

The only way the Scottish teams won’t win it is if the rough and tumble and rigours of playing in the most competitive, physical league in the world take its toll on the teams. This coupled with the English teams playing in the least competitive league where tackling is banned and they get a 6 month winter break between goals due to VAR decisions.

Can’t see anything other than a Scottish team winning it. How about you?

Listen Young'un, you clapped back cos you got in your feelings. There was no disrespect on my part.
Just telling it how I see it.
But you had to mention UTD.
You know the rule. You come at the King, you best not miss..

Now, we can have that UTD discussion, and i bet we may agree on a lot of things. Yes, of course the 2-0 hurt me. I'm not gonna 'Front' on that.
What you lot do with that advantage. anyway..
We were 7 ahead. You beat us. and now, we can go back to 7 ahead.
Yeah, well played.
But the topic was Arsenal.

You then chime in, with a flimsy 'Progression' tag.
When everyone can see, that this Arsenal team is Regressing.

Now, play nice, or i may have to walk you to the Vacants..

I'm being serious, I would fancy either Scottish side against any of the English clubs, Wolves would be the one i'd most want to avoid as they are a well managed outfit.

Arsenal are slowly on the up under Arteta imo but they have so many players that are hot and cold or downright liabilities i would fancy our chances. The same mostly applies to United, although less liabilities in their side they also have less quality.

Equally they could turn up and both Scottish teams could get scudded.

I don't think there is anyone to fear in this season's Europa. Chelsea were lurking last season. I don't fear Man Utd. Inter are a lot like Napoli last season.

In 2005 Liverpool finished 5th in 2005 and Chelsea finished 6th in 2012. Aston Villa finished 11th when the European Cup in 82’.

Bayern finished 10th when they the European Cup in 1974-5.

Inter finished 13th when they won the UEFA Cup in 1994. In Germany, Monchedgladbach finished 10th in 1979, Eintracht Frankfurt finished 9th in 1980, Bayer Leverkusen finished 8th in 1988 and Schalke finished 12th in 1997.

Teams can win in Europe whilst having way below par domestic seasons.

United won the EL title because of easy draws that year. Fact.

If we avoid an English team then yes.

We can, but I don't trust us to be consistent or turn up in away games. We still struggle to create chances and aren't scoring many goals.

We will need that to change drastically if we want to win it.

Personally I don't think we'll have as good a chance as we did last year.

Imagine giving it the big'un during the day only to see your team lose 2-0 to little old Burnley at home
