Had everything going for them this season, no injuries, refs on their sides, late goals, opposition not burying easy chances. Opposition usually having their best player missing when they face Liverpool. I could go on.
It`s a freak season, make the most of it. Liverpool are living off 1 goal wins this season. I think they have had something 13 so far.

The failing of going from being very quickly one of the top teams in the league and coming close to winning stuff we could have only dreamed about before and now almost back to square one again.
6th in the Prem but only on 34 points. Would to need every one of our remaining games just to get close to the sort of points total we were at a couple of seasons ago.
on the basis of quality and performances Wolves and Sheff Utd would feel hard done by they should easily be 5th and 6th on merit if not even better - some much garbage stinking out 14th-5th
Of late we've had more tehincal players on the pitch than usual. - GLC, Lamela, Winks, Alli + forwards all very different to having Sisokko, Dier even Kane.
I think in time the understanding and belief will improve and so will the entertainment. The return of NDombele will help but potentially that does leave us with a midfield of Ndomb, GLC and Lamela. It lacks balance and perhaps a degree of defensiveness. I think Winks is supposed to be out for a few week now too, leaving Dier as an option
Time will tell whether Jose has it in him to mould these players in to a dynamic attacking force, right now i think they can be excused for not flowing with beautiful football. New manager new approach and these players have barely played together.
Time needed and if the results come in the mean time then all good!

I have offered to clarify the exact percentages if Sandy would just clarify what he meant by 'leagues', but alas, no response.

If you want to go by every league in England, including all the lower leagues, club football, park football, then I suspect 99 per cent of clubs are worse off, and Spurs would be up there in the 1 per cent. Up to you. Otherwise we will just stick to the 95 per cent worse of clubs in the Top Four Leagues.

20 years ago we ended 10th, behind West Ham, Leeds Utd, Sunderland, Villa.
I think you'd agree our trajectory has been some what better than these teams. 2 of them are massive traditional teams who have dropped down to League 1 since 2000.
To be fair the nature of internet forums is always going to tend toward extreme reactions. Why comment if things are going ok? Yeah we've been chit for a while now. The squad needs an overhaul. It's natural. I think it's particularly noticeable as we had such a young team and the youth brought in hasn't stepped up yet. We'll be alright. Better than 93% at least.

One off season, freak season were three or four of the big boys are having awful seasons. Probably never happened before in Prem history.
It has been a poor PL this year, the worst for many years, only really Pool and City had settled squads, City were the only other true title challenger but have been seriously hamstrung by injuries and a defense that has gone backwards. The rest of the usual pretenders are in transition, with manager changes, injury problems and general upheaval. Hence why Wolves and Leicester have joined the chasing pack this season also.
Add to that, Pool being lucky with injuries, the standard refereeing and var bias in their favour and the media campaign to see them win the title, and it all adds up to an easy Pool title win.
