You working this weekend, Winston?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Eh?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just trying to lighten the mood.

How’s the kid doing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't work weekends - although always one eye on emails, such is life.

The boy is doing well thank you. Every week brings a new challenge!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How old is he now?

I just shipped my eldest off to Asia
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just over a year old now - so won't be shipping him off anywhere just yet, apart from his grandparents!

How old is yours?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eldest is 18 now, youngest is 8.

Hope you’re enjoying it. First couple of years are the toughest, imo.

Ups and downs! Good on the whole, but no question that it's hard as well.

What's the eldest doing in Asia - studying or travelling?

Travelling and doing the odd job to help pay his way

Got good marks for uni but didn’t know what to do and doesn’t want to study here in the Canaries so we talked him into taking the year off and getting a bit of a taste of life.

Dunno what arrangement you have at home, but sleep deprivation was the worst bit for me. The phase where they start walking is tiring too, but once they’re more or less able to not fall over every six steps it all gets easier

You should have them sleep trained by a year to be honest. Six weeks of tough training then 10 hours straight through the night. Easy.

So much for the missus, what about the kid though?

And if that doesn’t work there’s always chloroform

Great idea - it's something I regret not doing, although Uni sorted me out anyway.

We've been quite lucky with the sleep side of things, except when he's ill. I find operating on minimal sleep okay but the impromtu nighttime wake ups I'm terrible with.

Yes, the wake-ups are what did me too. Especially those where you’ve only just got back to sleep.

Yeah, hope so. It’s so easy nowadays. There are a load of websites people and organisations offer food and accommodation for part time work all over the world. That’s how he spent the autumn travelling around France. Asia he’s relying more on family contacts.

Good thread.

The point I was making is that every wum is asking Ole to stay at the wheel much longer. It loses its originality and wit after the thirtieth time (approximately).

How is it a wum?

It's quite literally what they want to happen

Because it's only posted to wind up United fans.
Have a look at the OP and tell me it was designed to have a serious discussion about.

Agreeing with Solskjaer to give him time. Surprised he didn’t use Alex Ferguson as an analogy.

Wonder when he will bring that one out
