I remember that match well..

On paper we had a great team: Klinnsman, Sheringham, Barmby, Anderton,Popescu, Campbell, Dumitrescu.... but contrived to make a complete mess of the season...

‘Rocket’ Ronny Rosenthal with a hatrick... we should have won the FA Cup that season!! ☹️

Yes, Grobbelaar definitely let in a few on purpose in this game. His keeping was shambolic

I still have that match knocking around somewhere on vhs taped off the Beeb. Was an amazing game. The game wasn’t played at St Mary’s though, was played at The Dell😉

The Dell. Of course! Weird Stadium which came to a point in one corner, which is where i was sat....Teddy's back heel to Barmby for the first goal was right in front of me.
