Jose Fack Off

Christopher agree, even when he had a superb Chelsea team if they went one up they rarely done much more than try and see the game out, football constantly evolves and Jose is still using similar tactics to what he did years ago, I've really enjoyed watching Spurs over the last few years but not so much now, that will mean nowt to Spurs fans if they win something but unless things change, and they very well might signings dependant, it could be hard to enjoy a few of your matches for the fans

He's been in the job a matter of months, currently has no recognised number 9 and probably wants to reshape this squad over the next 12-18 months as well. Calling for his head already is really just because the fans don't like Mourinho personally rather than his ability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep, and it’s the same supporters on here who were on his case the moment we appointed him. They are still not over the Pochettino sacking which was completely justified. The blame is down to Levy now.

Get behind the manager you absolute shambles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why? We play awful football and rarely win games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because that's what supporters do.

Fair enough if you've got constructive criticism but this thread is just embarrassing.

Lameka, yes, as a netrual watching Spurs was something I did as often as I could when on the TV, was in London recently and saw the stadium, was blown away, the football needs to match that and fans expectations, he might turn it around, time will tell?

Fans on here have such short memories. They completely forget we didn’t win a single away game under Pochettino in nearly a year in the league. Completely forget the bumming against Bayern or getting bartered 3-0 by Brighton. Yes, we all know we are having a shocker of a season, but you lot make out Mourinho has made it worse. Clearly this isn’t his team, it’s Pochettino’s. If by next season we are playing like this then call him out. Until then, stop crying about Pochettino and get over it FFS, it’s pathetic.

I am no Jose fan but he needs to be given more time that he has had so far.

He inherited a team with some glaring weaknesses so to be too critical of him at the time is a bit harsh to say the least.

they were on his case because they knew he wouldn't have the team playing the kind of football they wan't to watch. the blame has always been on levy, he's clueless.
sandy trying way too hard to sell his agenda now.

You seem to be the only one banging on about poch.

Poch got sacked because we were poor this season.

We are still rubbish under jose. Since the new manager bounce wore off we're even worse.

Get Rodgers or Wilder in the summer.

All jokes aside I will give Mourinho time but I'm not enthused by his appointment or what I'm seeing, and have a bad feeling it won't work out, because that's what recent history suggests.

Levy is of course the crux of the problems at Spurs. Only 5 days left to do any business and help a struggling team.

But we haven’t got worse mate. That’s all in you’re Jose hating mind. We were 14th when Pochettino got sacked. Where are we now ? No way am I saying it’s good, but the blame is not on Mourinho.

Genuinely surprised with these reactions. The result was disappointing in the end but I actually thought he played quite well overall. Had a number of free flowing fast passing counter attacks and poor finishing from the usual suspects let us down.

Our lack of clean sheets means that we will do absolutely fack all this season tho. Poor at the back again tbh although they are bang in form and we simply ain’t. Plus loads of injury problems.

GLC is a massive plus but Mourinho clearly still doesn’t know what his best team is.

I don`t get why our supporters are so miserable about getting a draw away from home in the FA Cup, against a side from our own division. I am absolutely estatic, and cannot wait for the replay.

Don, Oh you forgot getting knocked out of the League Cup by Colchester.

Pleased to still be in hat because the club desperately needs a trophy. No FA cup since 1991 for a club of our stature and cup traditions is an absolute disgrace. As is the 8 semi finals in a row that we have lost.

I'd prefer it if Jose was not our manager

I think it would be silly if the club sacked him so quickly though

The fact that we should have won after going a goal up but Jose's tactics cost us. That's what I am personally annoyed about

posted on 25/1/20

I like many was sad in the way Poch exited. That said, I would not have chosen Mourinho personally to replace him. I would’ve preferred Bielsa or somebody else that played a high intensity approach to the game.

However Mourinho is manager; like it or not that’s not going to change for the foreseeable. So we should at least give him some time to see how we are playing as a team come May. It’s very much a transition period to oversee a complete adaptation to how we play as a team.

I'd have preferred it if we had kept Poch but nothing can be done about that now. Absolutely no guarantees of trophies with Mourinho though, that much should be clear. And as for top 4, well Poch had a better record of finishing in the top 4 than Jose did since Poch took charge of Spurs.

posted on 25/1/20

It`s stupid to judge Mourinho until next season, this season is all but a write off thanks to Levy and anything we do achieve will be a bonus.

That was 5 years ago now in Poch's first season at Spurs. In recent times it's not been so successful for him for a man that's meant to be one of the best in the business. Only 2 top 4 finishes compared to Poch's 4, and a lot more money to spend.

Poch deserved to stay at Spurs for the rest of the season for that alone. 4 consecutive top 4 finishes at Spurs and then a few months into the next season when we're struggling in mid-table he's sacked. The more I think about it the more it sucks from Levy for him to do that.
