If it has to be done that game... Sing the flowers of Manchester... Pay respects... Then walk out

The 58 is a bit tacky and crass

Yeah it's not the walk out or even the occasion I disagree with. Just the 58th minute thing seems entirely inappropriate to me. Shows a lack of perspective and almost a lack of respect in a way to me

Or you could argue the opposite.

That considering the time of year it shows ultimate respect to the past and heritage of the club. Something that those who will be protesting will argue that the Glazer and Ed show are tainting

It shows how strongly people feel. But again, equivocating a tragedy with sh T ownership and leadership seems inappropriate to me. That's just my personal opinion. And again, I'm fully on board with the making a statement and showing that it's not an acceptable situation in which we find ourselves. But I just think it crosses a line, personally.

You could walk out on 57 mins if it makes you feel better?

I'm torn on the walkout to be honest. I think what would sway me is if a surviving Munich player or family gave it their blessing.

It may actually seem crass but the club itself isn't immune to that themselves either.

For people saying we're spoilt I say it isn't about that. All clubs from grass roots to PL want to be run with the playing side being the most important. The club needs to connect again with the fans and that's by giving us a team to be proud of. That's true at any level

Would kind of defeat the purpose of a mass walkout. But again, you're entitled to your opinion, as am I to mine. You're equivicatating the death of a football team with terrible ownership and direction imo. Just my opinion

100%. At this time nobody has, mind you. And it's still been very publicly planned

As a compromise maybe a walkout on 68 mins? Honour the European Cup heroes of 1968 which was also the culmination of the rise from the ashes of 58.

Alternatively on 74 minutes signalling that what is going on now, is in many ways, lower than what happened then.

I could definitely get on board with that 👍. A statement needs to be made, and a big one. Whilst no supporters of any club have any right to expect to win every week, at the very least they should be able to feel that the powers that be at the club are doing their utmost to deliver it.

That clearly isn't the case at United at the minute imo

Getting bogged down with the unfortunate timing of this crisis that has come to a head by chance in Jan/Feb.

57 58 68 mins whatever. If you want to protest just walk out showing your empty red seat to the watching world well before the end of the game vs Wolves and lets see what happens.

if you dont want to protest stay put.

99 minutes for me, to commemorate the treble.

In all seriousness, I don’t think the 58 is too tasteless; it’s now a number synonymous with the club and it doesn’t really mean that every use of it should lead to our making comparisons with the original event.

All valid arguments to be fair. Something needs to be done though.

Equivocating the death of a football team with the death of what that team and this club stood for. Metaphoric.

Dan James’ form has suffered of late but you can’t pin all our woes on one young player.

Let’s be real here.

No one - not a single person - who plans to walk out would do so in the belief that they are somehow behaving in a distasteful way to the club and memories of the Munich Air Disaster.

So let’s just keep the criticism to a reasoned level - we all share the same feelings about the subject, even if we disagree about what this protest may mean.

We’ve emptied out the Norwich City shop of green and yellow scarves to protest in the past and achieved nothing not even 3 billion off a Sheik can shift them turning the place into an average day out at the Emptihad is going to fix anything, the football on its own is so crap we’re achieving that anyway no protest needed.

You are quite wrong. This will be seen in the USA and worldwide by the Glazers and much more importantly by share holders and current and potential sponsors.

Quite what it will force the Glazers to do is unclear. IMO they will be forced to either remove Ed entirely or remove him from any football related role.

Hold on, when’s the Wolves game?
Super Bowl weekend.
Yeh, they gonna be in Miami.

I'd hazard a guess that most of these idiots who walk out are glory hunters from toxic social media networks like twitter, facebook and reddit who can't accept a shiny new signings being delivered every transfer window.

I'm embarrassed to be associated with these idiots.
