Leeds United to go craaaaaazy after a "hugely successful" transfer window. As the squad becomes more competitive players will be more eager to impress........

3-0 to Leeds. Bamford to continue his sparkling form with goals coming from Harrison, Alioski and Hernandez.

C'mon Leeds, you know we can do it.

Gertie the psychic goldfish has come out of mourning after predicting defeat to QPR. She has ripped out the photo of Bowen and replaced it with one of JKA. She was quite pensive about White playing in front of the back four, but thinks we have enough joie de vivre to take a gritty 3 points. Milwall to score first, Bamford with a brace to underline his position as number one striker. 2 - 1 Leeds.

3-0 win, think Millwall are in for a big response to our QPR shambles. Bamford, Klich, Pablo with the goals and Berardi to stick Bradshaw in row B

Bamford to score 20 in the remaining 18 games. JKA doesn’t get a look in and we wonder why we have to pay £18million for him in the summer.

Loan him out to second division Spanish side and Bamford Bamford fails to score until January. Recall JKA & repeat

Eddie scored... but not good enough for us according to some

So Eddie has scored a goal for Arsenal against a poor Bournemouth side, does that mean he should have started every game when we were clearly a weakened side when he came on the pitch.
Just not the right fit for us. You guys need to let it go.

Afridi. Have you watched us play? It’s not that he wasn’t good enough for us. It’s that he wasn’t right for us.

Unless you think we should completely change our style of play to accommodate him. In which case he was no where near good enough for that.

Sheff wed away, Eddie came on we lost control of game

WBA away, looked garbage until bamford came on.

I’d argue, he played too many times

Yes definitely. A lot of the times he was brought in for Bamford it felt like he was coming on to give him an appearance. Not because it was the change we needed.

Cal

Possession based game, where the lone striker had to be able to link play up.

Eddie couldn’t

That may come in time, but he couldn’t do it for us

Cal Neva, serious question?

High press defence. Attack build from the back. Create space by interchange movement & stretching a team side to side.

Eddie didn’t suit either. He especially was not one to drop in and bring others into the game and create overlaps. Something we rely on constantly.

Eddie scored tonight because he was given it to him on a plate - he rarely got those type of chances with us. And he didn't create chance himself - he piddled around. I'll say one thing for Bamford (just the one, mind) - he works his socks off, holds up play and contributes to scoring chances. When Augustin comes in, if PB retains his place, we'll be bloody awesome up front.

Eddie is meant to be out and out scorer.

Two games he started, he never ever looked like scoring

Against wba he was awful, bamford came on and should have got three.

The thing about our style of play is the attack is based around dragging players out of position. And we are unbelievably good at it for a Championship side. Probably the best there has been at this level. But there is a very easy way to negate that attack. Which is to not worry about picking up individuals and just sit deep with a very low press.

At the highest level this doesn’t work because exceptional players will always beat the low press. The trouble is we are Championship and players at this level find it much more difficult to work in such compact spaces. Sides play the percentage game against us and hope we are in efficient with half chances and sloppy when they hit us the break. Too often it has worked but it’s understandable why it works at this level
