Can't we have something in between Robben and Njie?

Let's hope so, eh. £25m ish isn't too bad a price.

Comparisons to Adama Traore are wide of the mark. Yes, they both play on the wing, but Bergwijn is more suited to cutting in off the left whereas Traore is all about beating his full back round the outside and bombing down the right flank.

You obviously have seen nothing of Bergwijn............he is brilliant at going past defenders and cutting the ball back into the box.

He is equally as fast as Traoré over 15-20yards, yes he is not built like Traore but his agility a centre of gravity is much better than Traore’s.

Although he can play anywhere across the front line, he is primarily a winger who can shoot with both feet!

Oh I've seen him. He's quick enough, sure. I just don't rate him especially highly.

If I'm wrong and he ends up being awesome, then I'll be delighted to look like a complete plank

Thoughts on Bergwijn to Spurs, Rafa?

Should it all really happen, I believe that Bergwijn will certainly be a great signing for Spurs. Obviously he will have to adjust to the PL pace and ambience but his speed, technique and strength will certainly add something to the Spurs game. Good luck to Stevie and my Spurs 🍀

If VDV rates him, that is good enough for me

The PSV manager who played with the legend that is Romario recently said Bergwijn reminded him of him, one of my favorite all time players. Good enough for me.

Looks like we're spending the money we got for Erkisen on him.

So really this deal does make a lot of sense. We get rid of a player who was incredible but had given up, and replace with a young player with the potential to give us something a bit different. Low risk because he's effectively paid for by Eriksen who we'd have lost in the summer for nothing.

In theory, we still have money for a striker.

Hope it all works out

A young and highly rated Netherlands international with impressive stats, who comes highly recommended by a former Dutch legend, at £25m there is a good chance PSV have been Levy'ed here. Hopefully he doesnt flop like many other players coming from the Dutch league.

wtf? VdV didn't flop

Can say some of them flopped but not many of them? Berkgamp wasn't a flop...Van Dijk?

Where did I say VDV flopped?

I`m talking about the likes of Depay, Janssen, Afonso Alves etc, who came straight from the Dutch league and were shiete
