Reports earlier this afternoon claimed the Hoops had made an offer for the Oxford United star.
While it was also claimed that the Parkhead club were locked in talks with the English League One club ahead of Deadline Day.
But we have now spoken to Celtic and understand that there is no interest in Baptiste from their side.
Johnston has done his knee before.
